I have been working at Florida Medical Clinic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Xmas party. Uniforms. The provider I work for

    Cons

Almost everything else. Poorly managed. Money hungry lack of compassion company

    Advice to Management

I believe they should listen more to their employees. We eat and breath this place on a full time bases at least therefore we should have some input. But honestly I think it's just my office. Sorry this might be a biased post

I worked at Florida Medical Clinic full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many locations. I met some great people while working there. I had some positive interaction with patients. I can not think of anything else.

    Cons

Pay below average. Benefits embarrassingly poor. PTO is minuscule. Support staff are not paid well and they will hire anyone just to fill a position. Office Managers have only HS diploma and are allowed to behave any way they want without any consequences. Clinic-wide decisions are made in a building somewhere in LOL without regard to who is affected. The docs are so money-conscious.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue. The expansion is going way too fast. Employees need more pay, better benefits. The PTO is too low. As it is now you are retaining only those who are willing to settle while those who know better and want more for themselves are leaving. How about spending more on employees and less on a Christmas party that you promote as an employee benefit?

  7. Medical assistant

    Pros

Good benefits and decent salary. Met a lot of employees from other departments that were happy. I can only speak to the Orthopedic department

    Cons

This department is extremely difficult to work in. The volume is rediculous. Constant turnover, the doctors act as if the employees are invisible. Training is insufficient. Very long hours and too much travel to multiple offices. Very poor morale, way too stressful.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately it seems management in the Orthopedic department is part of the problem. Listen to employees with dignity and respect. Employees need to feel valued, they are there to help the busy clinics. This department is always short staffed.

    Pros

It's a fun environment. The clinic is very hands on with both employees and patients.

    Cons

There is a lot of unnecessay office politics. A lot of business is conducted on a "who you know" basis.

I worked at Florida Medical Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly management. Left do to location change

    Cons

lack of benefits for a large company. For such a large company, There medical insurance cost more than buying independent insurance, no sick days or cme reimbursement and not that low amount of vacation days.

    Advice to Management

Understand that benefits are important in retaining employees.

I worked at Florida Medical Clinic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Proactive in safety of employees, education opportunities, very proactive with security and privacy of protected health information, always advancing technology.

    Cons

Upper management needs to get out into the offices and really see what is going on. Show that every employee has value. Listen to employees with an open mind.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what the supervisors have to say. They are the ones dealing with the issues every day.
