Current Employee – been working at Flowserve full-time for more than a year
Pros – There are some world class talented people among their ranks IF you get the opportunity to meet / work with them. Being a goodly sized company there are places for one to grow into.
Cons – Poor management & company politics severely limit access to the talented among their ranks. Typical big company HR hoohah. Unqualified people put in management positions because they don't know what else to do with them.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't limit your input to coming only from your managers. A whole different perspective can be gained from the ground troops.

Current Employee – been working at Flowserve full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – great people, friendly co-workers, flexible management
Cons – cover your own behind attitude, tribal knowledge, this is the way its always been done attitude, lack of clear documented procedures, absolutely zero train up or inprocessing training for new hires
Advice to Senior Management – create documented procedures that are followed, digitize documents and manuals, hold managers accountable, value added training program, stop the tribal knowledge otherwise your company will perish when people retire or pass away

Current Employee – been working at Flowserve full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Competitive salary, good team to work with and overall a nice company to work for
Cons – HR department could get better if they are not so focused on closing open requisitions and trying to keep trained staff by offering better salary to the staff. HR has too much control and say on who should be hired and who should be retained.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – Pay, Benefits (401k!), opportunity for career growth
Cons – No Cons I can think of, just a growing business can strain resources
Advice to Senior Management – Streamline reporting relationships at the GM to Director level - global framework not effective

Current Employee – been working at Flowserve full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – You will work when they have work! A lot of overtime.
Cons – When they are slow they have indirect time which they make you feel like you should not be on it but they will not let you go home early without taking your vacation or personal time.... Your trying to help them out? They want robots for employees you have a print and if the print is wrong continue with and finish the job the failure will go on another cost structure. Management treats staff like they are owned employees, I've been told HR is not for the employees and have seen harassment on the shop floor nothing is done and they "management" will have a big lay off to get rid of the people who have called HR. Bright side Management last's about 2-3 years at each site.
Advice to Senior Management – Not much
