Great company, corporation; benefits and comp could use an overhaul

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Camp Hill, PA

ProsDynamic thinking, more innovative than you would initially believe. Company is willing to take greater risks to have better rewards. Environment is a work-hard, but enjoy the people you work with atmosphere.

ConsPay needs to be improved. I would have stayed there forever if they paid more, even with somewhat of a lacking work-life balance.

Does not always promote based on merit but more based upon corporate status.

Advice to Senior ManagementCompensation of Corporate employees should not be tied to Company goals that they cannot directly influence. Alternatively, structure Corporate Compensation with a small bonus and a better "normal" salary.
Benefits are getting too expensive, need to find the right balance between company cost and employee cost.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsGreat hours, flexibility, nice co workers. You gain a lot of expeirence with these job. Nice discounts on store merchandise. First grab on new sneaker releases.

ConsPay is little if you dont sell well. Which is bad because if you dont sell you won't make that much money in the end. Sometimes availability becomes a probem. Everything for the store is online, so if you don't have acess to a laptop you're out of luck.

    Footlocker Family

    Sales Associate (Former Employee)
    Augusta, GA

ProsWorking at footlocker was my first retail experience. It was great. I loved interacting with customers. Learning the stock room, and learning selling procedures was amazing. the best part was working with coworkers who were like family

ConsHolidays and tax free days were the worst. When a lot of people are trying to return shoes after the holidays were definitely the worst. When people try to tell you that they haven't worn the shoes when you know they have. you have to be able to deal with people.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you're doing

    Outstanding corporate culture.
    Really feels like a family.
Diversity is key with this company.

ConsLittle to no room for growth.
Career path is challenged and longgggggggggggggg, you are limited too merchandiser, head merchandiser, assistant buyer, buyer/planner.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate more positions to promote growth within, doing so will be in accordance to their succession planning.
