I worked at Foot Locker part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Shoe Discounts, 30% of in NYC to be exact. You also have to put your name on a list a week prior to a new release and if you are a part timer (everyone is when they start until they receive a promotion) then you can pray to the lords above that you get your hands on a new release.

    Cons

Favoritism, discriminating managers, terrible hours (talking about 1 day a week with bi-weekly pay). When you hear how much they pay you might catch a stroke and pass away. bi-weekly pay is $6.38 + a terrible 1% commission. Rule of the jungle while on the sales floor, so employees will shove you or run through you to take a sale in the blink of an eye. Cant miss work because of school, they say it in the orientation "I dont care if your grandmother dies, come to work". Definitely not a good place to work, everyone can do much better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring up the hourly pay, and raise commission for part timers. Stop being so greedy and pay them a little more, fire a lot of the managers due to their sexism and incompetence. Listen to what ALL employees have to say because you guys only listen to the top selling employees. split the employee number down and spread out more days-a-week evenly towards other employees. Allow for employees to get transferred and let them go to school. (I was fired for calling off 3 days because I had to attend night classes(college)
