    Pros

Of course one large pro is the discount. Other than that there are your coworkers and customers. You meet some amazing people working for footlocker.

    Cons

This would be easier if I didn't have a slew of things to write. The pay is the first glaring con. The pay everybody below store manager pennies on the dollar. There are no raises and no bonuses if you are not in said group. So basically you are struggling to make a few cents. Your social and professional life balance doesn't balance out. You are basically asked to surrender your freedom. It's an overall horrible experience.

    Advice to Management

    There isn't any.

    Pros

Extremely flexible hours. Management at each store is usually pretty cool and relaxed. Very easy job.

    Cons

Extremely poor pay. 1% commission on everything you sell.

    Pros

(My review is based on being w/ the Company 10 yrs, with 5 of those years as a SM) Solid corporate leadership and focus on key goals makes and keeps FL as the leader in athletic retail. Good benefits package, which includes getting great rates w/ Metlife Auto.

    Cons

Minimal work/life balance. Difficult to navigate frm the store management role to a Corporate role (and that's with all the right qualifications etc). Salary increases are on a weird scale that I was unable to decipher during my time as a SM and were based on tiers not just beating sales for the previous year.

    Advice to Management

Revamp the HR/FEP department. Reps, such as Christina Ricigliano are out of touch w/ how a store is run.

    Pros

Great people, stable company, decent benefits

    Cons

Culture of fear among lower level employees and management who dodge responsibility, disrespect others, don't understand what's going on and don't trust those who do.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to management who have consistent turn over in their area, a history of being difficult to work with and have no interpersonal skills, even if they are long-term employees. Do something about it. You're going to get sued someday.

    Cons

The pay is BELOW NY's minimum wage and the discount should be more than 30%
