I worked at Foot Locker part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Footlocker is a very fun work environment. You work with a variety of people that you can develop long lasting friendships. As a sales lead you still get a taste of management without the pressure. Once a sales lead you get one vacation a year, besides that its impossible to the more than 3 days off at a time. The discount is amazing if your into athletic gear or a sneaker-head.

    Cons

Low pay, disrespectful customers, hard to advance in the company without personal favor of the higher ups.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider actually using the raise system.

I have been working at Foot Locker full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I worked for foot locker for 7 years they have great pay and discounts. They did a lot of contest and trios for BTS and Christmas.

    Cons

I worked a lot of hours and there was a lot of hard work like 100s of cases of shipment and inventory's.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have two employees in the store at all times instead of trying to save hours by making managers work alone until 1 pm and make it mandatory to take a break if working a 5 hours shift or more. When I took my first store I worked 2 months straight of 9am-9pm shifts with no help from any other store or DM.

I have been working at Foot Locker full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You get a 30% discount on the merchandise they sell in their stores

    Cons

The overwhelming amount of work and my managers are of no help. My direct manager doesn't know what is going on and barely gets by everyday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more involved with the departments and employees and when you notice unhappy employees, take initiative and observe their managers/directors because most likely it's them and not the actual work itself.

I have been working at Foot Locker

    Pros

    • 50%-off family discount twice a year
    • okay benefits, but nothing that amazing

    Cons

    • no opportunity to grow your career; a lot of empty promises and stalling between managers and HR
    • pay is not competitive; HR lies about doing market research and is awful at justifying why they underpay you
    • entire company is outdated and out of touch with current trends, marketing, and technology
    • lazy, inexperienced, and unqualified management that cannot provide clear direction or goals
    • management takes advantage of team; expects everyone to work long hours and dismisses people who ask for support or to be compensated
    • CEO and VP's only care about other executives; no appreciation for junior-level employees
    • boy's club mentality in the corporate office; women are openly treated as inferiors
    • multiple executives have made me feel uncomfortable/not safe, especially when they drink too much at office functions

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    • your staff knows how to do your jobs better than you do
