I worked at Foot Locker part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Discounts, 50% on any items twice a year. 30% discount each month on selected items.

    Cons

Salary, harsh customers, not enough hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I worked at Foot Locker

    Pros

Once in while get a pair of shoes that are exclusive if the other employees don't get em first.

    Cons

1% commission on shoe sales. It's obvious that you're harassing customers trying to fight for a 1 percent sales commission, stand on your feet and most of the time we did not have the product people wanted.

I have been working at Foot Locker full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

If you are looking for advancement the company recruits within. Six to nine months is the average time to complete training and or be in the right spot at the right time and get promoted to a store manager.

    Cons

Company expectations of daily operations exceed hours budget... leaving many salaried managers to pick up the slack resulting in an average of 50-55 hour work weeks!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to senior management.... invest in your people. Pay them what they are worth and daily efficiencies just might meet daily expectations. If all Foot Lockers received the same hours given and product assortment given to HOH's every Footlocker would run high volume and efficiencies.

I have been working at Foot Locker

    Pros

Compensation is fair. Salary, pension, 401k, employee stock plan. Stock plan has been great last few years.

    Cons

Some positions can be on call every other or every 3rd week gets old fast. No input into target dates for projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Probably best move would be to bring in good outside mgmt

I have been working at Foot Locker part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The benefits of working there is mainly the discounts & first dibs on shoes. You also get to meet a lot of people & they make it a fun environment to work in.

    Cons

The cons would be the low hours if you're a part timer & being paid minimum wage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be a pay upgrade for part timers, not just managers. Most of the people that are working there are part timers & we work very hard.
