    Pros

It was great to build a business that helps clients and draws opportunities from multiple channels

    Cons

Relationship building is key to this opportunity. So only go for it if you are able to draw clients to your business.

    Advice to Management

Stay focused on the success of the franchisees.

    Pros

Managers/owners are very nice. Discounts on all merchandise.

    Cons

Management could definitely use some work in regards to being more organized. Lost inventory, double booked clients' appointments, etc.

    Pros

The CEO is open to listening to ideas from senior staff members, he has a great appreciation and understanding for the meaning of Quality of Life on a personal level. The pay is below state average but is offset by the freedom given when needed to be with family, or in the case of illness.

    Cons

Its a difficult task to work with small business owners with above average educations, they have a tendency to want to ignore procedures. Being highly educated they believe they have the answers to many of the problems they will face, when the fact is belonging to a franchisee/brand the problems have been faced before and the way to overcome them is already available

    Advice to Management

Be less present the system when it has down times is always looking to blame someone. When you make yourself more available they expect you to have all the answers and the more answers you give the more they expect. The end result is inevitable you will be faced with a question you will not know the answer to and that is the one you will be labeled with. The system will latch on to the one question you couldn't answer and say you don't know what your doing.

Helping people achieve comfort from their feet and up. Working in a small business team setting where your opinion matters.

    Cons

Still a small business and that can cause frustration with larger competitors. Normal hazards of retail.

    Pros

Better salary than other retail establishments and feel good to heart healing and helping people in need of this kind of service establishment. Learn lot of basic health habits and about how our own body works and what can be done to keep entire lower limb extremity working even till the time we are walking on the face of earth!

    Cons

Dealing with people frustration of having bad feet, knees and back. And worse seeing the worse of of medical profession (doctor's surgeons and big hospitals greed resulted in permanent damage and deformity to many patients) specially when you been taught Doctors should know what is best for your health and should advice you that!

    Advice to Management

Really pick and choose right employees and invest in right employees instead of just hiring a sales personal only!

At one time, FS Corp had its best foot forward but after upsizing, its "sole" seemed to step down.

    Pros

Started out a great place to work. Medical benefits were ok & holiday/sick pay grew with time invested. Morale was even great all around at one time. Discounted/free shoes & foot products were a definite plus. Adding HR dept was a huge step in the right direction.
Some of the people who worked there showed a true passion for the company and its purpose.
Many of the store owners & employees made a lasting impression. There was rarely a slow day.

    Cons

People who r loyal, work hard & perform their job better than clueless people in charge, often train their replacement just before they get the boot.
Impersonal power player execs with micro manager policies barking "just do it" orders to 2 midway mgmt that just mimic orders to bottom level workers with no idea how/if its even possible was a daily challenge
Quarterly bonuses held back & kept quiet, later being excused by generic no bonus letter attached to paychecks.
Hours subtracted from salary pay & no paid overtime... and SALARY CAPS!

    Advice to Management

Hire from within. Stay away from fast talking executives that just blow smoke. Stop creating middle man jobs and promote people who know what's up and believe in the products!
Treat franchisees and lower level employees with more respect. THEY PAVE THE WAY TO FS SUCCESS

I have been working at Foot Solutions

    Pros

Very consultative job which requires a lot of one on one interaction with the customer. One can learn a lot about the foot and the application of orthopedic footwear

    Cons

Often times dealing with people who are not flexible with the styles and are more concerned with the style are very frustrating to deal with.

    Advice to Management

This is a franchise so every location is run by a different owner. The owner I work for is fantastic and seems to have a firm grasp on what he needs to do.

  10. Interesting concept in retail

    Pros

Working in this line of work gives the sense of authority in advising the right prescription footwear for the clients that are recommended by medical professionals.

    Cons

Not so much of a negative remark, one has to prepare renewing your certification on a periodic basis, as required to continue using the professional certification. In which is good, one can keep abreast with the knowledge in this field.
