Signicant bureauracracy to deal with.
Objective setting and ranking is time consuming and does not always work well.
Automotive sector is currently under great duress, creating stress in workplace.Advice to Senior Management
Current job termination process results in a great loss of continuity for the position eliminated due to lack of opportunity for any communication about status of projects, etc. This is a guaranteed loss which should be more carefully weighted against whatever benefits are perceived for protecting the company. A better system could be worked out which still protects company assets, such as simple revocation of all direct (unsupervised) computer access.
