Stable, opportunity based on skill is lacking.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsStable, and company has great pipeline for job security for non-upwardly mobile

ConsLittle opportunity to move up on shear work product and ethical standards, which can disregard hard work from smart people with strong conviction.

Informatics Business Operations, a sad and poorly run team

IT Manager (Current Employee) Saint Louis, MO

    Prosnice holiday party and picnic
    work from home is convenient

ConsLeadership in Informatics Business Operations is just awful. VP was written up for behavioral issues on more than one occasion. She now has a coach and it has become comical to watch. Staff retention is terrible.

Everyone is silenced through threats and intimidation so now no one speaks up anymore and most of the staff who are competitive are looking for new jobs. Way to go!

Advice to Senior Managementget rid of the VP everyone knows she is a train wreck.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Hard working people never get recognized. Review and reward process is a total joke.

    R&D (Current Employee) Commack, NY

ProsGood business model still going thru growing pain.

ConsStill going thru growing pain. Disorganized projects/departments and favoritism/unfair/unreasonable rewarding system. No one really knows who does what. R&D is filled with uninspired Pigeon holed workers who are self satisfied and doesn't even know what challenge means. Where is the growth?

Advice to Senior ManagementTake the time to read the actual reviews not the numbers/names only. You can not roll a dice on a list of names. When you don't value or recognize real talents nor hard workers they leave. It is simple as 123. If you have no time for a fair evaluation, get someone to do FOR You! And the stories between dealing 2-3 pipeline and 9+ are quite different. Idle job fillers need some wake up calls as standard of workers/work has gone down significantly compared to 7-10 years ago. Restructuring is inevitable. Otherwise future is bleak after the retiring of Lexapro.

Company is extremely micro-managed and the "culture" is not conducive for a healthy life style

Sales Representative, Trainer, Manager (Former Employee) Philadelphia, PA

ProsGood salary - starting is 53k. Bonus varies from 2k - 14k. Company car.

ConsMicro-managing. Want everyone to be a puppet and fit the same mold. Pods are issues b/c some people don't work.

Advice to Senior ManagementTeach the managers how to let go of their micro-managing and employee retention may be better. Reps can think for themselves and have a true pulse of the territory, so let them do their job.

Poor Pay and few growth opportunities

    Administrative (Current Employee)

    ProsGood benefits and vacation policy.

ConsDifficult to grow with the company and employees who are unprofessional are tolerated and accepted instead of forced into retirement.

One of the few places in pharma they are hiring

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsStrong cash position, staffing up, not downsizing yet

ConsIf you are your own man/woman look out. Micromanagement that is downright annoying. If you were not there at the beginning your experience will be second class. Duplicity and backstabbing are the rule in FRI.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe organization is upside down, you hire experienced people from great companies, but ignore them regularly. I would not be able to encourage someone I respected to work here, unless they were looking for a shorter leash.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
