A Middling Place to Work, and That’s It

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Pros1) Casual workplace, both in terms of dress and attitude. At no point did I feel like anyone was judging or treating me unfairly

Cons1) Communication from internal leadership is almost nonexistent. In my time with the company, there were no communications to the team from the VP or Executive levels within my practice

    2) Many of the internal managers are given their roles because of how long they’ve been with the company and not because they have the skills, or even the interest, to lead. The career paths are unclear and encourage simply sticking around to get promoted

    3) Much of the workforce is comprised of ‘old timers’ with significant inertia and resistance to change. If you’re looking to run out the clock on your career, the pace may suit you. I wouldn’t recommend it as a place for younger workers to grow and to develop themselves

Advice to Senior Management1) There are many silos in the organization whereby people focus on the best solution for their group rather than working together to find the best solution for the company. There are no goals nor incentives to work with anyone but your own team

    2) Projects seem to get funded to address squeaky wheels rather than true business value. If you’re only focusing on the initiatives that people loudly bring to your attention, you’re focused on the wrong things

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsStable, and company has great pipeline for job security for non-upwardly mobile

ConsLittle opportunity to move up on shear work product and ethical standards, which can disregard hard work from smart people with strong conviction.

The focus is placed all on the MDs - employees feel like second class citizens

Territory Sales Representative (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsJob security - 6 new products in 3 years says a lot - this can be a good place for new college grads looking to get into pharma sales - no one with experience comes to Forest

Consmicro managaed not necessarily by manager but by daily activity expectations - 10-12 calls per day; 80% signatures, 80% top ranked targets

Advice to Senior Managementundo these call per day averages and focus on the quality of the calls which really make impact and drive sales - it's the classic work smarter not harder mentality that needs to be implemented
