    Pros

Awesome people to work with! You work with these people all the time so they become your family. Get cute clothes for cheap. Wide array of looks and trends to shop and merchandise for. Room for growth. Company is attempting to become higher fashion/more mature with their marketing. Directives are clear and easy to understand.

    Cons

Ridiculous 5-7 overnight shifts for floorset without a full day of rest in between your next day shift. Discount is only 10% (not for extended family either). Inconsistent scheduling. No vacation/sick days. It's a big corporation, so they don't care about the "little people" that make this store run smoothly (e.g. sales associates). You are easily replaceable in the company's eyes (even if you work for corporate). Poor staff straining and management follow through. No accountability. Visual standards are decreasing with time. Target demographic is young teen girls (and their moms) with lots of attitude.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have weekly/monthly meetings with managers and visual leads to get an all-around sense of what needs to be improved on. Actually start valuing your sales associates and their skills. Start visual standard training immediately for new hires. Have associates have a standard goal of how much commission they should be making per day and hold them accountable if they do not meet expectations.

I have been working at Forever 21

    Pros

After I had my group interview, I found out that I was hired that night. Went on to sign paperwork the next day.

    Cons

That being said, haven't started working yet and it's been almost 3 weeks. I feel like they didn't want us to start until November.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let people know in advance if they'll start working or not and also don't lead us on, telling us you "messed up paperwork".

I have been working at Forever 21 full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people, getting to see new merchandise first, always busy, a lot of creative freedom when it comes to merchandising/styling, get to work with all the current trends, great experience in retail and visual merchandising.

    Cons

Not a lot of training, can get like high school with dramatics, long hours over scheduled amount, corporate doesn't communicate with stores well, not a lot of room for growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lead by example, communicate better, better training of new employees, upgrade all computer systems, streamline shipment processes, provide stores with more support.

I have been working at Forever 21 full-time

    Pros

I got my first start in retail management here. I had always only been a sales associate with other retail companies and had expressed my interest to move up but never could. When I moved to the DC area, I applied for a ASM position with this company and got the job. It gave me a good intro to what a retail/store management position would be like.

    Cons

The location I worked at lacked diversity with the staff
    Management sometimes lacked direction
