    Pros

Thorough training. Because of their extensive policies and reputation, it is assumed that you have been through it if you survived to work at a Forever 21. It is also a good foundation for the position that you are in as you deal with a variety of people on the regular basis.

    Cons

Bad employee discount. For what we do, appreciation is not shown. Only 10% on regular priced items and a shorter return span.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you were nicer to your employees and cared more about them and less about yourself, more employees would be willing yo put more effort. It's all about making the day so that they can get their bonuses. They will forget that its time for your break or you have to go. This is especially annoying if the majority of your staff are college kids who have a specific schedule.

    Pros

The only worthwhile reasons to work here are the friends you'll make and the clothes.

    Cons

The disorganization, having managers your age or younger talking down to you as if you are an invalid, Kronos, lack of training with newbies, foreign customers, customers, constant switching around of rooms.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do some actual work than standing around and shouting orders like an over-seer on an plantation.

    Cons

Non-flexible hours. No training, wouldn't even be allowed to get my 10 minute breaks at times.10% discount is nothing.

I worked at Forever 21 full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great place to be if you're really into fashion.
A lot of the HQ employees dress like models and are visually attractive
    Female-friendly environment
Great exposure to upper management if you work in the buying department
Great place to work if you're a Korean and you click with MC or MO
Free lunch (at least when I was there)
New building is a huge improvement from the previous Alameda office

    Cons

    Jealousy and cat fights 24/7
backstabbing and a lot of gossiping over nothing
    no upward movement
vendors constantly bad mouthing you to upper management - they're all connected!!
    Korean/non-Korean split is horrifying
    poor compensation
    over worked employees
    immature managers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

middle management is by far the worst. Instead of hiring the daughters' friends, try to bring in real professionals that actually have qualifications that match the title.

    Cons

I have been working at Forever 21 full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Working at Forever 21 is nice because if you're a good worker you'll get great hours. Most all my coworkers are fantastic, managers are great, and though some customers can be overly difficult it's a pretty nice work environment in general.

    Cons

The pay is terrible because of the higher ups stinginess, the benefits are little to none, employee discount is 10% and not on sale items, Visual Managers get paid hardly anything for all the work they do (hardly anyone makes over $10 an hour, I've never heard of anyone getting a raise and they start most all workers out at $7.50 an hour), you have to clock out and back in if you're there for over 8 hours because the CEO refuses to give overtime pay, there is NO holiday pay and EVERY worker has to work Black Friday no exceptions or else they risk being terminated (this is a company rule). On a sales associate, store manager, and visual manager level this company offers a great environment but it's the high up managers that really ruin the experience for the workers who take their job very seriously. Good workers deserve more and this company has a lot of good workers who don't get what they deserve.
