    I worked at Forever 21

    Pros

The work was not to difficult, but there frequently would be a lot of it to do. If you work hard, you earn more hours, which is more than fair. It is fast paced and fun, especially because of the music and abundance of stylish clothing. It's a great summer job right before college, particularly for building a relatively cheap wardrobe.

    Cons

The management at my branch continued to schedule me when I requested not to be scheduled. It does take a while to close the store, so night shifts can be long. The breaks are very short, and often not enough to give your feet enough of a rest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to provide incentives for the employees, aside from additional hours. A 10% employee discount is nice, but it would be nice if there was more of an incentive to push slow merchandise by giving a greater percentage off.

    Pros

YOU can grow with the company, they tend to let you try out differsnt departments if it is not working out with the one u are in... The environment is clean and upkept.

    Cons

Challeges of working here are that they are Korean owned so there tends to be cultural differences sometimes about how things should be done. They work very hard and dont like to see people mingleing or chatting in hallways or at desk... only 1/2 lunch and not many breaks ...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should have a better Ombudsman department to air complaints...

I worked at Forever 21 part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Pros:
The best thing about working at Forever 21 was that there were coworkers who were friendly and made the job bearable. No work uniform: Wear what you like as long as it is fashionable and meets dress code.

    Cons

    Cons:
10 percent employee discount. Working alone in the fitting room with many clothes to organize and tons of customers to deal with. Cleaning up the messy store. Managers and head cashiers constantly reminding sales associates about meeting sales goals. Having to finish work early and hours cut so that Forever 21 can minimize losses during times of poor sales.

On the job application, there is a space for the applicant to write down a wage. Management will pay with the wage that is written down on the job application. It's smarter to put a higher wage. Don't be like me. Do not put $8.25 as the wage you want.

Get better at your people skills as well as selling skills. Open dress code

    Cons

Employment at will contract; fire you for no reason whenever they want, and dont have to tell you about it. Management are extremely disorganized, nothing get done because everyone is trying to one up the other person.
