Former Employee – worked at FormFactor
Pros – Compensation was average to above average and benefits were average to above average. Relatively laid back working environment. Very structured and efficient production environment.
Cons – Not the highest level of technical ability, there were some very good people and some very poor people technically. If you are competent you can advance. style valued over substance by management.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on accomplishments and not activity or presentations. Value people of value, not people who sound like they have value. Eliminating dead weight will help with cost savings and efficiency.

Current Employee – been working at FormFactor
Pros – Technology is very good and unique, work in general is interesting and dynamic, very talented and capable technical people. Although work load may not allow it at present, management is supportive of work-life balance as a principal. Fundamentally in a good niche market with high long term potential
Cons – Scrambling to regain market share, many parallel technical efforts being pushed without adequate staffing and resources - too hectic and dynamic. Attrition is getting to be high,
and in a place where systems are not in place, that is a significant loss of know-how, making it difficult for the persons remaining to carry on. Company grew too fast for its own good.
Company prefers to getting outsiders (from more established companies) for key leadership positions rather than growing employees from within.
Advice to Senior Management – Need to be more customer friendly,
Develop and promote from within,
Invest in systems to reduce inefficiencies and costly errors.
Develop competency in other areas in addition to spring technology.

Former Employee – worked at FormFactor
Pros – I worked on many projects. Being an intern kept me busy and my mentors treated me as an employee rather than an intern. And no there were no coffee or printing assignments.
Cons – Work was slow in the start ... you need to ask for more work
Advice to Senior Management – Peace!

Former Employee – worked at FormFactor
Pros – Close to home, decent benefits and pay.
Cons – Many. Amateur management. Review meetings are usually spent finding a victim and publicly humiliating that individual. Promotions and advancements are based on cronie-ism.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote staff based on performance, not who sucks up to whom. Also, be professional. There is NO reason the publicly dress down any staff member. There are waaaaay too many VP's for a small company. Remove at least half of them. Finally, remove Mario, Igor, Ben Eldrige, and one or two more from the payroll. They are the primary reason that FormFactor stock is in the tank.
