    I worked at Fortegra Financial

    Pros

    Relaxed work environment
    Culture is down to earth
Management doesn't seem to have an "I'm too good for you" complex like at other companies I've worked at

    Cons

    It's insurance
A lot of people who have Ben there for 10+ years. They're cliqish and gossip.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Financially very sound and continuing to expand offerings and market share

    Cons

Poor process controls, numerous manual processes, chaotic Management and very little leadership. Focus is mainly on growth with little focus on supporting the growth internally

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Without infrastructure growth, both technological and personnel, business growth will implode

I have been working at Fortegra Financial

    Pros

You'll get to work with some very exceptional people. Great access to mentors and opportunities to learn and develop as a professional.

    Cons

Compensation is low, even by regional standards. Company doesn't pay 100% of benefits, so you may be able to find cheaper and better insurance in the private marketplace.

Culture: Company is working on moving into the 21st century, but it's struggling.

I have been working at Fortegra Financial full-time

    Pros

Employee appreciation. The company provides employees with plenty of luncheons and party perks.

    Cons

The company attempts to bring in younger employees and people with varying backgrounds in an attempt to refresh its image. However, there is a bit of a Godfather mentality and if you haven't been there for 15 years, ideas and efforts of new employees are usually silenced. They continue to "'re-brand" regularly but fail to implement any changes that will move the company in a forward direction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow through with promises and stay the course when you make a decision. Taking sideboard only derails success.
