    Pros

Unfortunately nothing positive to say. They're shoveling their own graves.

    Cons

Fortinet never pays their vendors on time. Vendors have to constantly badger them for payment. 3 - 4 months late payments on average. Total chaos in AP department. Many vendors have ceased to grant NET terms of any kind. Fortinet do not even have a company credit card to pay vendors in advance. Not a good sign of company finances.

    Advice to Management

Fix your finances. Hard to imagine that you have a healthy business when your buyers cannot order product to to vendors not granting terms, and you not able to pay upfront. How can a company your size not have your finances in order and so much chaos? Wonder if you even pay your employees on time.

    Cons

Lack of direction and no clear requirement.
No on job training. This company does not provide any technical training.

Lack of diversity. More then 3/4 of the employees are Chinese and Mandarin is the most common language used in the office.

    Pros

Free Dinner if you work one hour of unpaid overtime. Dinner costs around $10, so you are essentially working an extra hour for minimum wage.

Great place if you speak Mandarin, or if you know how to play politics.

People who get hired into their roles are generally qualified. Unfortunately, those who get promoted are usually not.

    Cons

Poor decision making from management - everything from technical decisions, to team building, to communication across and within teams. People design their own modules without regard for how it inter-operates with others.

Occasionally, team leads and/or managers "design" architecture even though they are unqualified, and do not ask for input from people under them.

No accountability for management; they can make many mistakes, leave work early, get to work late.

If you drive there, expect to park outside and get your car bombarded by crow droppings. Almost forces you to leave work early. Indoor parking is limited.

    Advice to Management

Hold management more accountable. Value career development and input from employees.

Hire university grads from quality universities. Many of the current employees are university graduates from China or BCIT (local community college) graduates who are not well-rounded and too narrow in their thinking.

Needs a better process for promotion. Bad managers promote more bad managers.

    Pros

Fortinet can introduce to market many new technologies and products to meet current trends and requirements in network security.

    Cons

    -Change policies quickly
-Product has too much security features but not good and unstable.

    Advice to Management

Try to commit long-term policies and good-quality product.
