Pros

Very involved and active work environment. A lot of deals pass by your table so you get to acquire an insight into different market cap, sector etc . companies and different valuation and financing methods.

Cons

Not very organized and 'one firm' culture is not implemented that well. Different parts of the company ( private equity, hedge fund etc...) are mostly treated as separate entities even when they could be leveraging each other.

Advice to Senior Management

In junior levels leadership and mentorship program is adequate . - can be better.
ALso because it is a public company sometimes it is hard to judge senior managements interests.

Great flexibility and great experience.

Low pay with lots of hours.

Increase pay to interns to increase motivation.

the money is good..if your love for money outweighs your self-worth come here to work

I enjoyed being surrounded by very intelligent people with a deep insight of the market. Everyone was very good at their respective jobs.

Cons

There could have been more communication and collaboration. It always seemed as though everybody is extremely busy and therefore they don't always take the time to explain how their decisions will affect you.

Advice to Senior Management

Send more memos or otherwise communicate to employees better.
