Great training for "real world" social work.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Chattanooga, TN

ProsIt is a non-profit, local community mental health center, funded by the United Way, private and state contributions. It is the original and founding out-patient mental health agency in Chattanooga, TN. The first of its kind, it used to be located in the historic Fortwood district of Chattanooga.

ConsA huge amount of work is expected with very little supervision or pay.

Advice to Senior ManagementSupervise new supervisors better and don't take the word of disgruntled employees against your supervisors' word.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Prosfriendly front-office staff, dedication to children & families, new facility

ConsThere seems to be a distinct disconnect between employees and upper management which contributes to low morale among staff.

Advice to Senior Managementseek ways to retain employees; secure enthusiastic & positive upper management; welcome new ideas from employees

Never been treated so poorly in my life.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood experience you get to diagnose and treat clients. You will gain experience with a variety of diagnosis and family problems.

ConsMajor problems in administration. They only care about money so you are overworked, under appreciated, and not heard. They view as replaceable and do not support or encourage you. They do not value continuing education. I had to leave due to being asked to do unethical things. If you want to keep your license then don't work here.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart over with new administration staff who care about the treatment of the clients over money.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
