Pros – It is a non-profit, local community mental health center, funded by the United Way, private and state contributions. It is the original and founding out-patient mental health agency in Chattanooga, TN. The first of its kind, it used to be located in the historic Fortwood district of Chattanooga.

Cons – A huge amount of work is expected with very little supervision or pay.

Advice to Senior Management – Supervise new supervisors better and don't take the word of disgruntled employees against your supervisors' word.

Pros – Good experience you get to diagnose and treat clients. You will gain experience with a variety of diagnosis and family problems.

Cons – Major problems in administration. They only care about money so you are overworked, under appreciated, and not heard. They view as replaceable and do not support or encourage you. They do not value continuing education. I had to leave due to being asked to do unethical things. If you want to keep your license then don't work here.

Advice to Senior Management – Start over with new administration staff who care about the treatment of the clients over money.

Pros – The organization is dedicated to working with an underserved community. Morale at child services is excellent.

Cons – Administrative problems are overwhelming and morale at adult services is very poor.

Advice to Senior Management – Hire good staff and work to keep them satisfied.
