    Pros

Working at FA has been a great pleasure as there is so much respect between the upper management and employees. There is plenty of opportunity for growth within the company and very much encouraged.

    Cons

There are times that so many people are traveling that it can be a bit challenging to have communication and decisions made at a quick pace.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Streamline the interviewing process to make a bit faster in terms of decision making.

    Pros

Analytics is a high growth industry that is very exciting with lots of innovation. Fractal encourages people to step outside the box and consider new ways of doing everything. We are working on process improvements in every aspect of the company and it's fun to watch the evolution. Everyone is so nice and considerate and helps each other to learn and grow.

When other companies are downsizing, this one is moving up, way up and FAST!

    Cons

Rapid growth with lots of process improvements so things are getting better quickly and people need to be flexible and agile to keep up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue crystallizing and communicate the vision for growth.

    Pros

Great work-life balance with very flexible timings, I have often worked from home with no issues at all. No one breathes down your neck when you work, the autonomy is incredible. Well-stocked cafeteria and larder, a young workforce and exposure to a wide variety of analytical tools and softwares

    Cons

Administration is rather lax, and the office space is very cramped currently due to the rapidly expanding employee count. Though Fractal's People Principles have improved the work culture, a lot needs to improved in terms of the implementation of these principles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Career tracks sound good to speak of, but when it comes down to choosing, there isn't much guidance from middle management to freshers.

Not the best place to work for

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

1.The enthusiastic lot of the analysts and senior analysts. Its amazing how these people relentlessly put in hours of hard work to get things right. They may be wrong or, misled but all they want to do is do it right.
    2. The CEO - the man to respect who puts in everything to put things in the right order

    Cons

    1. Since we are not doing rocket science let's not make it sound like one. Its analytics and let's call it that. There are managers who has no idea of what to do how to do and blindly follow whatever they are asked to do and these are the same ppl who ask us to think out of the box. I believe 1 st you need to know where the box is! And what's already there in the box.
No homework whatsoever, these managers are getting rusted by not working at all.
C'mon sir!! If your responsibility is to distribute work load you really don't have to be a senior consultant at fractal analytics. You can do that by being anyone else.
Good projects but lack of clarity from managers leads to waste of time which leads to lesser time to improve on the current stand which leads to no improvement in quality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have been trying to do everything right. But you are missing out in an area that appears to be negligible but it is eating from within. AL and SCs needs to be trained/supervised or, whatever. But they need to do their job. That is all I request. Thanks

Not at all a good place

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Only few projects are good in terms of quality of work

    Cons

Middle management is waste - they don't have any knowledge but would interfere in each and every thing. Resignation is the tool people use to go up - whether its promotion, band change or onsite opportunity. There is no proper skill set mapping. There is no transparency in the system. Decisions are taken higher up and people at analyst level don't even know what is happening. At times it feels like it is purely a BPO, a service provider. They talk about innovation but hardly 5% of work has innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please invest more on building the right talent rather than fearing on the attrition rate.

    Pros

-Awesome CEO, genuinely works hard and puts efforts to take everything to next level
-Company recording terrific growth, expanding well
-Excellent learning options, good place to build skill sets. Lot of good training's
I had the best learnings here analytics wise, i made sure i keep learning from people kept asking kept talking to people made sure i know whats going on in other projects. If you have the drive learning can be phenomenal. Thanks to the CEO's vision.
-I had the chance to work on some great projects, i am grateful

    Cons

-Flexible timings, so if you are going to be at an analyst or senior analyst level its bad. Beacuse managers who are onsite will treat you like a s--lave and expect you to work late even on a Friday night, 4th of july which happens to be a US holiday. Because they pay you and you are a slave. On an average flexible timings end up making you work more than 10 hrs
-Recently at a fresher party in delhi office, there were drinks(commissioned by a very senior person) in the house and on the house and it the end things like guys were forcing girls to drink and making lewd comments. Yes this happened in office premises.
-Middle management bad, they think they are Ram Charan's and Vikram Pandit and know it all. Its just not in sync with what the client expects.
-Fractal itself doesnt think high of itself when being direct to a client. We follow whatever the client says is right! No its not i have the data to prove it, no i wont give the recomendation so that client is happy coz its not true! But because we want to make client happy we will do it. If you want to be mckinsey bloooody gawdaaaam act like it.
-Like when theres a client coming to office we make sure we get the best cuisines and food but we got no money for annual party which we skipped last year etc
-Startup culture(so bad, like a duplicate google! Be google or else dont try). Be professional, be an epitome of professionalism
-Half the projects are just template refreshing, good luck if you get stuck
-Fractal does chindigiri, makes client bill for 4 people and in actual will put just 3 people on projects. Leads to mismatch between expectations, people on project gets frustated
-HR's think they are kings and rule the company. Can all of us take a moment to read an awesome article which came out, saying why their should be no HR department?
-When i joined, the HR's forced me to write a good review on this site and thats why Fractal has so many good ratings. Their view was freshers joining read it and its motivating.
-60-80% crowd IITians so girls if you hear guys staring at you or lewd comments i am sorry. Sorry but this is true. Yes fractal did fire a couple of people or more, but does that solve the problem?
-I will write more soon, the truth nothing else.

    Pros

    - Sincere & competent CEO
    - Fair and very open culture, people principle rocks
    - High growth prospects
    - Awesome brains at work

    Cons

    - Incompetent middle management that keeps messing up projects & pass on the buck to the analysts
    - Quality of work getting spoiled in the chase for more stable revenue pipeline
    - Ideal for engineers & people from statistical background, no real work for MBAs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Skill mapping has to be improved. The founding fathers have done tremendous job over the years, and its really challenging to preserve the same culture as it was earlier. But they have striven hard for it and deserve a big congratulations for succeeding in making Fractal a place where its actually fun to work.
