Former Employee – worked at Francesca's Collections full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good employee discount, if their clothes are your kind of style.
Co-workers are friendly and fun to be around.
Casual dress code.
Cons – Pay is low, below the standard state average, and with all the work they ask of you you'll feel like you are being underpaid.
Undervalued, they don't appreciate you or your hard work at all.
Expect to work overtime or longer than your schedule.
Benefits could be better.
Merchandise isn't as good as it used to be.
Corporate/upper management are rude and really don't care about you.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay your employees what they deserve and make them feel valued.

Former Employee – worked at Francesca's Collections full-time for less than a year
Pros – Ability to have more control over the store than most other retail companies.
No floor sets or planograms to follow.
You have the chance to be really creative especially if you enjoy fashion.
50% discount on merchandise.
Cons – Long hours. Really long. Expect to work 50 hours minimum.
The pay isn't very good considering how much work it is and "bonuses" are a joke. 0.3% of qualified sales.
Expectations are super high and generally unobtainable.
Little to no support for managers.
Advice to Senior Management – Support store management more and there wouldn't be such a high turnover. This would also allow you to hire and retain more qualified managers.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Francesca's Collections part-time for less than a year
Pros – Awesome people. Product you will love and stand by.
Cons – I feel that the pay rate is a little low for the responsibilities I hold. Also, internal promotions seem to be based on seniority not who would be best fit for the promotion, which makes it hard to move up.
Advice to Senior Management – Make sure to talk to employees frequently. Boutiques with only a handful of girls cause lots of drama that might not be seen by management right away.

Former Employee – worked at Francesca's Collections full-time for more than a year
Pros – Decent discout and bonus potential
Cons – Horribly run company, there's a lack of support form regional director and corporate. They handle the stores as if there are only 3 and not 300! You are expected to work your life away for them and be happy with meager pay.

Former Employee – worked at Francesca's Collections part-time for less than a year
Pros – Freedom to visually design store, work with returning costumers, and good benefits if monthly goals are reached.
Cons – All women makes for a dramatic and sometime unprofessional setting. Management was very immature and I often times felt more professional and that I had a stronger work ethic than my manager or assistant manager.
Advice to Senior Management – Check in on stores where employees quit often -- I worked for only 4 months and saw three sales associates spontaneously quit. To me that shows an obvious problem with store management.

Former Employee – worked at Francesca's Collections full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – I was fortunate enough to have a very good team. My store manager, key holders, and associates are all people I would enjoy working with again.
Cons – Over the three years of employment, I've seen the connection between corporate and store fronts become ever more disconnected to the point where it is almost discriminatory.
Marketing communication to the stores is usually rushed and very last minute, giving stores very little time to make the necessary changes.
Work is rarely recognized by superiors unless you are a favorite or a "brown-noser"
Small teams and limited payroll leave little room for schedule flexibility. Expect to work off the clock to get everything to their standards (which are constantly changing).
Quality in "details" has diminished (i.e. cheaper shopping bags, cheaper supplies, etc)
Store front employees are never apart of company functions (holiday parties, fashion events, etc)
Advice to Senior Management – This company is cutting costs and investing in all the wrong places. They are forgetting about the details that matter to both employee and customer. I think this stems from the fact that Francesca's was started by money makers, not fashion innovators. Unfortunately this fact is reflected in the quality of its products and the way corporate treats their employees.
My advice is to take care of your greatest asset: your employees. Find out what works to make your business better, not what makes you money the fastest.
