It is unfortunate that you are unhappy with your supervisor's performance and feeling stressed in your current position. We certainly don't want that for our employees and strive to have a positive ... More

    I worked at Franke full-time

    Pros

Great insurance and benefits were very nice

    Cons

Company has virtually no training programs. Everything is based on what they call "tribal knowledge". It would seem that management has a fear of sharing information.
Communication between manager and employees is non existent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The upper management needs to look closely at the the fairness issues based at this facility. There are a few members of the upper management that protect the mid managers. Most have been promoted to the point of incompitance.

I have been working at Franke full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome people to work with, but they are being replaced quickly. If you don't like the current management team, just try and hold on for a couple of years and you will get a new one.

    Cons

Current leadership and poor treatment of employees. Benefits constantly being eroded away. Long time employees (some with 20 years) being terminated with no notice or even chance to say goodbye. One review above mentioned the great people in PA, but the they all lost their jobs. Same is happening to other locations as they centralize all operations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Current management is more focused on short term achievement of their individual goals. Long term success, growth, and customer satisfaction is not even an interest.

    Pros

Great R&D (n.1in its sector - cooker hoods -, well ahead of competition, smart team well organized and with outstanding product knowledge), good manufacturing (a top 3 appliances company's purchasing director told me, during a plant tour, that one of our plant was among the top 3 he visited in his entire career), average salaries, good middle management

    Cons

Remote location, not so much growth possibilities, improvable HR

    I worked at Franke

    Pros

Good pay, nice town, good product

    Cons

Upper management (u.m.) over this facility is tyrannical. Work loads increase while resources decrease. Mid-level managers do not get support from u.m. U.M. also has hired high level professionals one month and fired them three months later on a whim or to use as scape-goats. Overall, the turnover of professionals since 2009 at this facilty has been very high. There have been multiple suits brought against them for wrongful termination. I would under no circumstances recommend this company--especially this facility unless you like having zero job security and love working a lot of hours all the time.
