I have been working at Franklin Covey part-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Store is closed on Sundays, Located in Shopping center not a mall, Management works with school schedule, Easy store upkeep, Easy programs, Internet access, free to use Social Media sites when store is slow, Meeting Goals is based on team as a whole, not individual worker, no disciplinary actions for not meeting goals, most stores do not meet them anyway.
Cons – Pay, Bonuses are low, a lot of crazy customers (I'm talking hoarders, compulsive shoppers, compulsive returners), no health benefits for p/t employees, work holidays, work weekends.
Advice to Senior Management – e-commerce is not the way to acquire new customers.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Franklin Covey full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great employees that are sorely underappreciated and undervalued
Cons – As stated in other reviews; cliques within management and for a "time management" company; they have absolutely none of any of the values they teach. Mr. Whitman needs to step down so they can change the culture back to what it used to be before he "took over".
Advice to Senior Management – Practice what you preach!

I have been working at Franklin Covey full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Co-workers are fantastic. The accounting for this type of business has some complexities so you have the opportunity to learn a lot
Cons – The executive is so over paid it's ridiculous. I left there and now work at an even bigger company and the executives there aren't paid half the amount. Employees below them are treated like crap - no raises, no rewards.
Advice to Senior Management – Lower your executive compensation. They are all overpaid & focus on taking care of all your employees.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Franklin Covey full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – good work-life balance, fun company activities, salary
Cons – Employees don't practice what the company teaches, managers can do pretty much whatever they want, managers get their way by bullying other managers and employees, lots of bickering, fighting, and bullying, no way for employees to evaluate managers, managers are not held responsible for anything, small company with very little room for advancement, sales rule everything.
Advice to Senior Management – Get rid of all of the Coveys, especially the ones who are getting paid for not doing anything. Hold managers responsible for their poor and unethical behavior even if those managers are bringing in big bucks for the company, quit letting the inmates run the asylum.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Franklin Covey
Pros – - Access to world class training content and programs.
- Honesty, hard work, and integrity are promoted and rewarded.
- Competitive and fair compensation packages.
- Noble mission (to enable greatness in people and organizations everywhere)
- Global reach and relevance / fairly well known brand
- Fun incentive programs and yearly company meetings
Cons – - Not very much room for career advancement as far as upward movement (it takes a long time)
- Employees are not the best example of practicing what we teach in our training programs
Advice to Senior Management – I would recommend doing more advertising in various mediums in order to increase brand awareness and improve reputation as training/consulting provider. Do what is needed to change image from "The Planner People" to the "Our Training Programs Are Super Effective"
