I just finished my one year intern at OMCA. This is a very rewarding experience.

I have been working at Franklin & Marshall College as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for you to improve yourself. Make a lot of friends. They will teach you.

    Cons

You have to cooperate with other interns as well, which will be difficult sometimes.

I have been working at Franklin & Marshall College

    Pros

I am very honored to say I worked at such a prestigious institution. Loved Lancaster - downtown is very eccentric with great places to eat. Easy drive to Philadelphia and Baltimore airports. The new President does seem very proactive, and I expect some good changes to be made.

    Cons

Most students are entitled. My next level manager and administrator were terrible - Just cared about me as an employee, not as a person. Work space was pretty unbearable - no air conditioning or heat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take accountability.

I worked at Franklin & Marshall College

    Pros

Overall great work environment, excellent benefits and vacation time. Very respectful climate. Flexible environment in respect to work life environment.

    Cons

Salary increases are less than cost of living regardless of stellar work reviews. Not very much opportunity to advance or move forward, especially for admin workers of mid level professional staff. Have to move to another college to advance career.
