    I worked at Fred's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There were a select few coworkers that were great to work with. Store management stayed out of pharmacy business. Store staff were nice despite horrible treatment on their end.

    Cons

Too many!! At first things were OK. Eventually management got more & more strict. Tedious spreadsheet entry daily. Tons of paperwork. Tech hours were unreasonably reduced. No lunch break. Barely a chance to pee. No overtime pay. Weasel district manager kept wanting more for less. Unreasonable schedule demands on pharmacists. Hateful & malicious behavior condoned for the favorites. Stress, lies, harassment...all totally fine with management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop putting on a front for the poor pharmacy students. Admit you are awful people. Clean house & refocus on taking care of staff, who will in turn take care of customers.

    I worked at Fred's

    Pros

The only Pro that truly exists here is discounted frozen yogurt. Not even free frozen yogurt, just discounted.

    Cons

Alot of work is expected from you. I was hired as a shift lead and was told I needed to act more like it was my own franchise. The franchise owner has no idea what he is doing and refuses to get involved with the community or loosen his tight fist.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut your losses and go back to Home Depot.

I worked at Fred's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Some stores were run by nice mangers, with customers in mind.

    Cons

The company seemed to have operational issues, such as not having labor to put merchandise out. They were unable to take care of customers due to extreme lack of labor in the stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you don't have enough labor to unload trucks, put product on shelves, and get customers checked out, you lose sales.

I worked at Fred's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

If you wanted to stand around for 10 minutes and wait for someone to assist you then you will love it. Outdated everything! Everything and everyone works slow.

    Cons

They do not properly train new employees. Many do not know what they are doing. Need to update labels on the shelf. Fred's does not promote employees to a higher position. They do not want to pay people more money.

I have been working at Fred's full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I love working with the co-workers at Fred's because they were so friendly and welcoming. When I started I thought it would take awhile for everyone to get use to me but it didn't. Everyone jumped right in to help me learn the new and different computer system and taught me the ropes of working in this pharmacy. They were and are like family to me and I couldn't have asked for a better crew of co-workers.

    Cons

I don't think I have even one bad thing to day about Fred's or its employees that I worked with.
