too much red tape, bureaucracy and WAY too much executive turnover which led to constant change in priorities, company vision/direction, and corporate objectives.

    Pros

I am a previous employee but while i worked there it wasnt a bad company to work for. They have good benefits

    Cons

There was a ton of upper management movement throughout the organization and the component that I worked for had no clear direction.

    Pros

Good people, great benefits, good work life balance, good compensation. It is a place that you can go to and stay there forever if you are so inclined.

    Cons

lots of process. "lots of this is the way we have been doing it for 30 years why should we change?". Very hierarchical. Pseudo Government

    Advice to Management

Simplify processes. Move to a more pay for performance mentality. Offer volunteer retirement to some of the people that have been there for 25+ years...

  9. Great entry position

I have been working at Freddie Mac

    Pros

Rotational learning, unique skill set, great work life balance, great exit opportunities. It will be a great entry level position. I will be able to grow and learn a great deal from the wide scope of exposure.

    Cons

Not as lucrative as working for the banks. The reputation of Freddie Mac is also not ideal. There is some hatred toward the company for its role in the housing crash in 08.

    Advice to Management

More competitive pay would be ideal with more hands on exposure. Freddie Mac needs to try and keep their employees from switching over to the banks.
