The management would promise you growth in the position and the company, but it rarely came.

Manager (Former Employee)
Kansas City, KS

I worked at Freddy's full-time for more than a year

ProsLearn how to work at a fast food company. The night shift people are pretty cool, but it's hard to get away from the habitual work this job entails.

ConsLow pay, irregular scheduling, hard work. The managers are really high themselves and can be rude sometimes. I would definitely shoot for management if you really want to work here.

Advice to Senior ManagementI wish they would value ability more and seniority less

It's a job

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Freddy's full-time

ProsAwesome co-workers, great managers, fun atmosphere.

ConsNot much room for advancement because the district manager doesn't take any of the workers seriously. District manager is biased and unprofessional. Promotes less qualified individuals over those who are readily more qualified.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on providing equal opportunity to your employees.

typical hit and miss

General Manager (Current Employee)

I have been working at Freddy's full-time for more than 3 years

ProsSalary is pretty reasonable for the type of position we are in. But no room for raises and bonuses are impossible to hit.

ConsLong work days franchise policies continuously changing. Inconsistencies from office. Upper management doesn't use their own guidelines

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit changing policies and if you are going to enforce them, follow them yourselves.

Practice what you preach

General Manager (Current Employee)
Salina, KS

I have been working at Freddy's full-time for more than a year

ProsFree meal of mediocre burgers and custards, great team work, great employees. It's a good place for high school kids for first time job experience.

ConsInconsistency between management and higher level. Lower salary than average, work harder and longer hours 10-14 hours without any compensation for overtime. They only care for bottom line, most of the time we work short-staffed. They only care about guest (customer)'s reviews and mystery shoppers. They don't care about employees; all propagandas about employees and guests caring are not for employees. Until I find better job, I am stucked here.

Advice to Senior ManagementPractice what you preach and be consistent.

Fun part time job

Cashier (Current Employee)
Austin, TX

I have been working at Freddy's part-time for less than a year

ProsVery flexible with scheduling.
Store management is young and easy to get along with.
The small size of the company allows you get noticed for your hard work.
50% employee food discount.
District manager makes frequent visits to keep things running smoothly.

ConsHigh turnover rate, as with any fast food chain.
Sometimes have to work split shifts to get more hours.
Alot of inexperienced and immature high school kids working at peak hours.
Minimum wage when you start.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer higher pay to attract better long term employees.

FREDDY'S OVERWORKS THEIR MANAGERS

Manager (Current Employee)
Austin, TX

I have been working at Freddy's full-time for less than a year

ProsYou get Monthly Bonuses if employee labor is low $200-300/month
Insurance after one month
Decent Salary--starting for Managers is $30-35k annually
50% discount if you eat there

Cons-10 hour shifts on your feet--all day long, 5x week
- No breaks/lunch breaks. If you get a chance you eat, you eat on the go (walking or standing) cannot leave for lunch
-1 week vacation after 1 year but must be approved 6 months in advance.
-You cannot leave the premises during your shift
-No sick/personal days. You cannot miss work because no other manager wants to work a double 10hr shift.
-Must let someone know at all times where you are going, even to the bathroom
-Managers work all stations several times a day in order to keep employee labor low (grill/make burgers, make custard, fry fries, drive thru, cashier, etc)
-Cameras at every angle, watching all your moves
-No cell phone use at all
-Very by the book company
-Food is not fresh, all frozen meat or everything is premixed
-High turnover rates

Advice to Senior ManagementStatistics show that giving an employee a minimum of a15 minute break will make them more efficient and happier in the work place
Its just burgers and fries you are serving
Company fails to tell you all the little minor details during interviewing.
Im very disappointed with Freddy's on the way they take advantage of the Texas Labor Laws. They over work their managers on a daily basis.
If you need a paycheck and can handle GM's with attitudes and brown nosing with the Area Director and CEO then this is your place, if not please look else where because you will be disappointed.

I did not like working at Freddy's.

Cook (Former Employee)
Cedar Park, TX

I worked at Freddy's

ProsLot of hours
Got good discount on the food
Could be easy if it got slow
Tasks aren't too hard

ConsWay overworked for minimum wage
Too much busy work (Lots of rushes)
Poor Management (Had 55 min shifts because labor was planned wrong. GM STOLE FROM THE EMPLOYEES - got fired)

Advice to Senior ManagementTake control of the employees better. Try and focus on making things right. Be fair to everyone. Need to pay more.
