Pros
Generous Paid time off policy (starting at 4 weeks, and bumping as high as 6 weeks, not including holidays). Flexible work arrangements. Competent coworkers.
Cons
Compensation is severely lagging the competition. The company simply has too much debt now to do anything. All of that money that should be going towards R&D and employee recognition is instead going towards interest on their massive debt.

The level of competence overall here is significantly lower than at other Austin high tech employers.

Overall the people are very hard working and dedicated. There is a desire to help the company win in the market place.

Over that last few years there has been a lot of changes of leadership and it seems that there are layoffs every year.

Cost reductions, exiting from markets and layoffs is not the path to greatness. There needs to be long term commitment to growing market share.

Get all opportunity to explore more in the workspace. Work culture is very good in the company.

Salary or compensation is less. No transparency in the performance review process.

Good breadth of work, relaxed atmosphere, respect, good compensation, great vacation. If you like working with micro controllers then its like getting paid to play.

Little to no structured training packages, small minded upper management, silly top management deals during 2006 IPO means they all had too much money to stay and work.
