Current Employee – been working at French Connection part-time for less than a year
Pros – 70 percent discount for sales associate, however there is a limit to how many items you can purchase
additional 30 percent off sale items
Small boutique style
Small and can be family style and inviting with the right managment
Cons – No growth opportunities once you are a keyholder.
Corporate and district managers are very condescending, petty and have indecent communication methods
No training for any positions
very unorganized
Advice to Senior Management – Work as a team instead of pointing the finger
Get to know you associates
You set the tone for the atmosphere of your store and depending on how well you treat your employees is how long they will stay.
Balance and equal opportunity is also very important.
Lastly, Do not judge a book by its cover, I think managers missed out on a lot of valuable team members because they were so caught up on appearances.

Pros – Great costumer service, competative salaries, good products and encourage from coorperate to adnvance.
The company allows you to advance fast if your interested and ready. If your a hard worker, your definately going to see the pay.

Current Employee – been working at French Connection full-time for more than a year
Pros – They encourage you to take ownership in your store because the compensation package is dependent on store volume. Generous bonuses and lax hours are a plus but can lead to frustration as if everyone is taking a break whose working?
Cons – A transitioning brand always has the lingering issue of solvency - will I be employed tomorrow? If you can get past that and want great opportunity it could be a good fit.
Advice to Senior Management – Take more personal responsibility for the company's shortcomings.

Former Employee – worked at French Connection
Pros – The discount was pretty great. 60% off 2 tops and 1 bottom every month plus 30% of sale all the time. You do have to wear french connection but they are pretty lenient, they allow you to have your own style. Just don't wear anything that obvious couldn't pass as french connection.
Cons – Sometimes they get way too crazy about sales goals, there was some serious micromanaging, evident favouritism, and management can be pretty catty. They don't allow you to hang out with coworkers at all (but who actually listens to that haha)
Advice to Senior Management – My advice to french connection management is to be a little anal about the sales goal. It's about customer experience guys! And get the men's line up to par!

Former Employee – worked at French Connection
Pros – A place to gain experience.. get in and get out.
Cons – Performance assessments seemed to be done in vain, despite exceeding expectations repeatedly there where no pay increases or incentives.
Advice to Senior Management – Field managers are not held accountable for results, there is no differentiation between performers and under performers.
