    Pros

I was proud to be a part of a company that works to improve the lives of patients every treatment. I worked for them almost 20 years and was promoted a handful of times during that period. The employee benefits are amazing, especially the paid time off!

    Cons

As with any healthcare position, there is a lot of stress in dialysis services. When there is employee turnover, there is increased burden on everyone else in the department and frequently, staff became burned out.

    Advice to Management

I believe that when upper management considers adding to task lists, that it should be also considered that something either be removed or future plans to add staff to accommodate the changes.

    Pros

Fresenius Medical Care is a fun place to work and gain experience. They provide great coaching and constructive criticism to help you better yourself.

    Cons

Poor training quality and techniques. Not very good supervision and management. There is a lot of unfair favoritism. There is a lot of horse play and unprofessional-ism.

    Advice to Management

Please provide better training and complaints need to be taken seriously and dealt with in a proper and timely manner. Things should be handled before they become complaints and grievances.

    Pros

Great benefits: excellent health care options, dental, vision, life, disability, tuition reimbursement, 401K match, discount programs, etc. There are a variety of departments and jobs for those looking to further their career, but emphasis has shifted to specific education requirements in recent years. Top management is responsive.

    Cons

Limited advancement opportunities without education. Poor communication throughout organization. Disorganized Quality integration.

    Advice to Management

Be better at mentoring long-term employees to better use their extensive experience within the company.

    Pros

Able to work independently, no micro-managing, however this was dependent upon the region you were assigned. Bonus plan. Great training opportunities. Could be a fun environment depending on team.

    Cons

Salaries not competitive in some areas. Focus often heavily on bottom line compared to patient care. Regional management and above oftentimes forgot about the impact to the field when decisions were made with regards to staffing.

    Advice to Management

Listen, follow through, diversity, be fair and consistent, acknowledge good performers, when increasing work load look at increasing staffing, evaluate salaries to ensure they are competitive.
