    Pros

i have experience working in the medical field. Working three days a week. unlimited overtime. a very flexible schedule. family environment that was easy to get along with.

    Cons

having to deal with patients being sick and most of them possibly dying. As a patient care technician i grew close to most of the people there

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

they pay higher base salary, they are a leader in the Dialysis Industry

    Cons

to compensate for the fact that quarterly bonus program is always announced with less than 1/2 of quarter left. And payment of bonus is delayed usually for 9-10 weeks post close of quarter. Healthcare providers feel bullied by the largest Dialysis company not supported.

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care full-time

    Pros

Employees and patients are wonderful. Health benefits are also good.

    Cons

A lot is wrong with this company. Was very stressed and unhappy every morning I walked into work. Management does not value employees.

I have been working at Fresenius Medical Care as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

good benefits - you earn a day of pto every two weeks. tools needed to complete the job are provided. workplace is nice.

    Cons

no overtime. bonuses are not paid out in a timely manner. no real opportunities for advancement, unless you are like 25. raises are an absolute joke (2.25% being the highest in the department). lack of formalized training. a little behind when it comes to technology.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

motivation to stick around should not be "well, at least you have a job!"

listen to your employees if they are having problems - both personal and professional.

if you have someone that isn't pulling their weight, get rid of them. don't just shuffle them to another department. they are still making mistakes and messing up.

    stop feeding into egotistical maniacs.

don't steal the ideas of your best employees, and shove them in a corner.

    Pros

Great benefits and support for continuing education. Extensive and comprehensive training that is above the rest.

    Cons

Slow to keep up with cost of living compensation. There seems to be a tendency for exclusion within certain geographical areas, which could just speak to where some facilities are located.

I have been working at Fresenius Medical Care full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's a global company with a lot of options on case you wNt to relocate. They are stable and a leader in their field. They provide a beneficial and essential service to their patients.

    Cons

Because they are greatly dependent on federal funding for the payment of services at their clinics they are vulnerable to the governments changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think of diversifying more and offering more services at your clinics.

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care full-time for more than a year

    Pros

At Fresenius I was able to utilize my collections/billing experience to the fullest capacity. I worked with wonderful and professional people and developed long-lasting friendships. It was not a stressful job, for the most part; I was able to work my 8 hours and then leave and go home to my family.

    Cons

This biggest challenge in working there was the initial buy-out of Renal Advantage Inc. to Fresenius Medical Care. Once a merger happens, the company changes a lot of policies and procedures...sometimes even lay-offs.

    Pros

Very good flexible Job. A good start to learn hands on management role. People are nice to work with.

    Cons

Lack of promotional opportunities within the company. Same thing is done differently in different areas. Lack of standardization and getting things done in one way across the board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More standardization than reinventing the wheel each time.
