I have been working at Fresenius Medical Care

    Pros

Love the patients ! I'm being forced to write 20 words to give pros for this company ....that's all I have.

    Cons

Mandated to work excess of 30 hours in a two day scheduled shift. Hostile co-workers that never tried to train me in the proper way ..pay below average, PTO can not be used because you have no one to replace you. Lack of management ! Poorest working environment to this date.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

First of all, come to work. I've been employed with this company 7 months I've visualized my manager 7-10 times. Walk the floor and see what your staff is doing and be an advocate for both the patients and the staff.

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, great staff and most of all great patients

    Cons

Bad, lazy, useless, cut throat Area Manager who does not care about no one (except for his friends and those who kiss his behind). He does not have the foggiest idea what goes on the clinic; you never see him there- when he does, he just sit on his butt and does not talk to the staff. When you are in a bind for staffing, he never helps. I know that he cannot help on the floor because he does not have an RN license. But having no RN license should not hinder him from picking up the phone and help ask around the other FMC clinics for help -but he never did He promised a lot of improvements that he was going to do but he never fulfilled any one of them. I don't know why FMC hired him since he does not know anything about management and does not have the aorta to try to know his job either; definitely he is just there for his paycheck- he has no conscience of being paid for doing nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Investigate well who you hire. Hire them for what they can do for the company according to evidence-based research not because somebody within the company said that they are good or said good things about them. Usually friends will say that their friend is a good worker even if they are the laziest person in the planet. I was better off without any supervisor because truly, I did not have one. He was only there as a symbol - he was useless. I feel sorry for the other managers who report to him. I don't know if they can last longer - I know that I had to get out. I predicted that there will be a lot of clinic manager turn over in his area.
