    Pros

Great small community hospital. Nationally recognized for top patient safety scores. Many opportunities to create one's own departmental programs and strategies for success. Senior leadership is very creative during times of changing healthcare.

    Cons

The majority of the staff at Frisbie Memorial Hospital stays for many years, even decades. This speaks highly of the governing body. Senior leadership continually seeks to compete and improve.

    Advice to Management

Continue to seek the input of your staff from top to bottom in order to get a true picture of the health of the organization, as well as patient input. (As you have been doing)

    Pros

Benefits are not bad. Nursing assistants work extremely hard, especially on night shift.

    Cons

Small, community hospital with fewer resources available, especially during night shifts. On L&D floor, physicians are often unprofessional and condescending to all staff and constantly are talking about each other to nursing staff. Census has been declining.

    Pros

Great flexibility with vacation time, good benefits

    Cons

Very low pay scale and horrible raises. Very under appreciated .

    Advice to Management

Value your long time loyal employees. Acknowledge good things and not only the bad. No room for growth and forget about ever making decent money! As I said, benefits are good, but if you have a family you'll need a second job.
