    I worked at Froedtert Health

    Pros

    Great reputation for patient care.

    Cons

At Froedtert Hospital, employees must park quite a distance away from the building, then walk to/from the hospital. There is no shuttle bus. The crossing guard takes his life in his hands every day with all the traffic, and employees often take a short cut and cross the busy street without the crossing guard to save time. Very dangerous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a shuttle bus to transport employees from the parking lot to the hospital employees entrance.

Employees are overworked, no work life balance, benefits and pay less than average, no parking, no appreciation.

I have been working at Froedtert Health full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Reputation for patient care.

    Cons

Management not really interested in employee satisfaction. This is a service industry built on the backs of the workers and employees not compensated and not given recognition or appreciated. No work life balance, if u use your time off, you pay for it returning to work cause now your have double the load. Be suspicious of all those positive reviews that all start with the same, "Great Place to Work." This is a marketing plow to improve brand.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to improve brand, invest in workers, not just looking good to the public. Pay employees what they are worth, develop them, and work on keeping them. So much turnover in my department that team suffers and can't build friendships. No opportunity for growth or development means people will leave for growth. Too many executives making big bucks and not doing any real work, saps the morale. Froedtert is not walking the talk.

I have been working at Froedtert Health

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Med records staff treated poorly. Understaffed and overworked. They want to move us off site to way out in Hartford which is ridiculous. Who the hell wants to drive that far to work? Lost a couple of good employees because of this.
Pay sucks, benefits suck, parking sucks. Too much ongoing construction in area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Noe. They won't listen to employees anyway. They just want to look good.

I have been working at Froedtert Health full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Level I trauma center. Level 1 trauma center. Magnet. Cancer center.

    Cons

Leadership issues, too big to be managed and employee dissatisfaction is common. Hard to get to if commuting, pay below average, get by day-to-day but long term. OR issues are bad. Good people leave. Staff are not being heard. Same managers = same issues.

I have been working at Froedtert Health

    Pros

    I like working at FH.

    Cons

untimely transfer policy. As a current employee in good standing (I was hired here right?) some positions posted have very limited criteria which I beleive limits a potentally great fit for the job cantidate to not be considered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My direct Manager is great! Approachable, proactive. Genuinely a nice person.
