Pros
Well, its a great firm for learning and exposure. Working here would mean an exposure to good clients and some very intellectual colleagues very early in the career. Learning is yours to exploit. The growth can be fast tracked in some teams, and work is pretty comprehensive of all a research based consulting firm can boast of. A very young company and hence cohesive teams are often found.
Cons
Well, in simple words, the pay sucks. It feels that Frost has internalized that India is its sweat shop. Pay structures that haven't changed since early 2000s and top management which is too top heavy to notice that employees quit because of unfair treatment and low pay are two things that need to go.
Advice to Senior Management
Learn from exit interviews, people are speaking for you to listen.
Spend more on employee retention rather that useless universities/events which add no value to your real asset - people
The organization might be process focussed, but the processes are run by people, so let the people be happy and proud of working with Frost.
Pros
Low work pressure
Flexible work arrangements are possible
Fun, mostly young colleagues. A lot of extra curricular activities are taken seriously
Cons
High attrition -HR is so busy in hiring, few firings and handling so many resignations that they do not have any time to focus on improving employee satisfaction
Mass churning of studies and awards without emphasis on quality. A lot of the output from the company has really sub standard content and would not be bought if it weren't for the excellent packaging and marketing skills.
Advice to Senior Management
Spend more time on 1) improving quality of deliverables and 2) enriching employees' skill set.
Pros
Provides good media and industry exposure
Promotes easy-going work culture
Aggressive in pursuing business and leads
Offers diversified industry consulting areas
Cheaper compared to other similar consulting firms...easier to win projects
Cons
Smaller player compared to other consulting firms in certain industries
Limited structured work process...Its what you (and your team) make out of it
If you don't believe in what they preach and pride in, it's not the place for you
Cheaper rates charged to customers mean lower commission to consultants
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
- Flexble, allowed one to work form home (for level 4 and above)
- A lot of opportunity to learn, learn to grow independantly
- Turnoever is high, and therefore one will have no fear to get sacked even if work done is unacceptable.
Cons
- Finally resigned and it feels awesome, like my sentence in hell is finally over, and I get to breath again. Yes, that's how everyone will tell you when they resigned. (I am not being bitter, just honestly describe how I feel the day when I put in the papers)
- You are just an item in the company, once you resigned, you have no value to the company. Your manager/project manager will assign all the work to you, squeezing every knowledge you have, every resources you have before letting you go, yet after you had work hard, there is no appreciation, not even a simple thank you. You are not being respected as a human there, but just a worker/machine in the production line.
- A very forgiving company. You are good, and you will be given impossible amount of tasks to complete, yet, if you are not good, no punishment, you are forgiven again and again.
- For those somehow got into the company with special connection, they are forever not needed to get their work done, and yet they are getting high pay. Even have someone sitting in the US office, doing APAC project, but team members can never get to the person as the person is working at different time zone.
- All the senior management position are Indian, and the company is run like an indian company though from the name, it should be a US based MNC.
- Everyone is forced to attend company trip, and annual leave is deducted if they cannot attend due to personal reason. resigned employee is being prohibited to attend the trip although they had initially accepted the invitation to join the trip. Leave is deducted although it was company that prohibited them to attend.
- Promotion is given to those who tender resignation as part of staff retention effort, even if the person is not up to the position. Many had used that as means to get promoted.
Advice to Senior Management
Do look and act on what people say in their exit interview. People has lost trust with the management as the HR seems to be siding only the management team and not the employees.Wake up, senior management! You are losing all the good and capable people. Capable people will soon and are leaving you for better company. What you have left with are those rotten apples where they obviously have no where to go to, since they are not qualified to go anywhere else. Something is seriously wrong with your organization. Most department has totally new team every 1.5 years. That should say something about the company.
Pros
Great colleagues and people to work around.
Neat time off and vacation holidays provisions.
Personal interaction with clients having very little previous exposure in the field is a valuable gateway
Cons
Pay Packages.
HR peep too much like school teachers, depicting cheap attitude.
Infrastructure, software and internet regulations hinder effective work output, knowing the fact that internet is the gateway for this work, regulating that is simply nonsense.
Advice to Senior Management
Consider changes in infrastructure policies.
Improve pay packages for employee stay longevity
Prudent selection of senior and immediate management, to enable work flow possible.
