Pros
1. Good place for taking rest from work/sabbatical
2. Lots of holidays
3. Good place if you are ready to write articles and write/make reports only and nothing else
Cons
1. Direct client facing jobs (called primary research), but since most deliverables are value-added clients don't much value the capabilities of F&S analyst. So building relationship with clients is nil
2. Too much politics, more in favor (in promotions, assigning projects, recognition, etc) of one community of people
3. Incapable senior management, still following typical old corporate habits and giving 'so-called' motivating speech to employees (its 99% words and 1% action) -- seen in F&S
4. Highly negative environment. The company hires analyst for writing articles and research reports, but after hiring they expect employees to do sales for positive appraisal ratings. Pay is very very less for the type of job expected
5. 0% learning, incompetent managers hired who are relatives or friends to senior management
6. Good place for interns/amateurs/want to be professionals, not a challenging profile to earn professional growth/success
Advice to Senior Management
advise is to do something about high attrition rate. Identify the best employee without any bias and recognize, so that he/she will bring more revenues to the company. don't lose your best employees, coz you might need them one day.
