Management accepts consulting jobs even when they don't have the resources to do it

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

ProsFlexible hours for employees (you can come in anytime you want) and no one breathing down your neck. At 9am in the morning, the office could still be quite empty.

ConsDo not reward employees adequately. Management accepts consulting jobs even when they don't have sufficient resources (people with the right skills to do it). Over promise to clients and beat around the bush before reaching to a conclusion.

Advice to Senior ManagementReview employee bill rates and reward employees adequately. Don't expect to get good quality work, if you don't want to pay/reward adequately. Please don't accept jobs if you don't have sufficient resources to work on it.

Great in the 1st month, horrible then onwards

    Research Analyst (Current Employee)
    Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

ProsIts a good stepping for someone to get into the market research / consultancy industry. You'll learn who are the players and move on from there.

ConsNot transparent with incentives and bonuses. Always claiming a fiscal lost to avoid paying out incentives or bonus (Asia). All bosses are imported from India with no plans to hire local talent. If you're local, there's no career progression.

Advice to Senior ManagementReview policies to include grooming of local talent
