I have been working at Fuji Xerox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Colleagues are highly professional with a strong work ethic. The total compensation seems to be above the average. Product and service quality for customers is paramount and is embedded into every aspect of the company.

    Cons

Learning and career development is lacking. It is a very slow progression pattern and this can be a bit discouraging. The slow pace of new services development is due to the multitude of seemingly endless need for management approval, even for the straight forward issues.

I worked at Fuji Xerox full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Fuji Xerox Singapore is definitely where i've learned and developed myself as a working professional. It's fluid working nature means that most employees will have exposure in many aspects of the business environment.

A fantastic part of the organisational culture, is that any ideas you have is entertained and evaluated. Whether or not the idea goes through depends on its feasibility of course. As a junior employee at that time, it felt good knowing that we were encouraged and pushed to make a tangible contribution to the company.

A lot can be learnt from middle management. I've been fortunate to work with some of the most professional and experienced guys within the IT, Printing & Sales scape. Their professionalism and dedication has definitely benefited me professionally.

Promotions are fair and based on merit. Contrary to many accusations of favoritism, I have to say I find many people who have been promoted to be entirely deserving of it.

    Cons

    1) Working processes are poor at times. There is no standardisation or clear definition on tasks, and often times official processes are loosely interpreted and sometimes bypassed leading to very confused and often inefficient processes. No central repository to document official processes.

    2) As someone who has been in a sales & backend function within the company, there is a disparity in appreciation on both sides by top management. While Sales staff are treated as stars of the company, backend and operations staff are not put on the same pedestal, suffering from an inferiority complex as a result, leading to reduced morale and motivation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat non sales staff with the same level of importance and appreciation with sales staff. Though a lot of effort has been put in to address this over the years, it doesn't seem to be working.

I have been working at Fuji Xerox

    Pros

Good colleagues. Generally, the Singapore office structure is very fortress base, Each department or a few smaller department tend to form together. Support and helpfulness within each fortress/silo is very close.

    Cons

Strong favoritism by the Singapore leadership. Favoritism comes become reason. As the favoured abused their authority and since management always support them. It has become very abusive in recent year. If you are not in the favoured good books, then u really don't need to perform or do any thing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open your eyes. No clarity in leadership. Usually, very indecisive. Many people are leaving and many are wanting to leave. Many good people wanting to do more for the company are psychologically or political blocked out.
