I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy commute growth for career is evident but does not happen very often, Benefits very good

    Cons

Poor management, tools very old. Management needs to spend time with employee not greasing the wheel just to gain a career climb with accomplishments that were done by someone else for your own personal goals. Too many VP's, communication also very slow to respond. Cafeteria is pretty filthy.

    Advice to Management

    Work as a team.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good customer focus and robust tools. Many capable professionals (and many more left). Good benefits.

    Cons

Job security is long gone. Staff is being laid off every 1-2 quarters, going back more than two years now. No real raises and the job promotion process is nothing more than a path on paper. No promotions to be had. I gave opportunites one star, should be zero. An IT company that does not pay for professional development for its staff! That's enlightened management. No certifications paid for due to cutbacks unless you count the chintzy little online e-learning with one of those packaged services.

    Advice to Management

Get act together, provide secure jobs and treat your valued employees like partners, not hired hands. Quit laying off experienced staff in one area and hiring contractors to do the same job as higher rate in another area. Yamamoto-san writes great white papers and vision of human-centric IT but there is no human centricity in this organization. Take care of your people first sir, and stop asking about FNA respect and committment to Japan company. No respect, no loyalty.

    Pros

Laid-back atmosphere, good entry level position.

    Cons

Underpaid employment and favoritism. You can have 95% closing ticket ratio but you will never see a raise. (S&C) $16.00 an hour

    Advice to Management

Train your employees better. Input a better knowledge base system.
