    Pros

    Great employer, work/life balance, progression

    Cons

Can become pigeon holed into specific areas of work, making it harder to break into other technology areas. Salary isn't reflective of market rates

    Advice to Management

Put more focus onto career management during appraisals.

    Pros

Very good work life balance - less pressurised than the larger American IT firms Relatively informal structure - colleagues at all levels (bar the very top) are approachable Good effort being made to become a more inclusive employer

    Cons

Huge inequality in pay and benefits - expect to find someone doing the same job as you earning twice as much, because they've been here 20 years Indecisiveness - every decision is subject to a 17 stage, 3 month review by which time the moment has passed Confrontational, bipolar executive team who are above any policy we have on bullying and harassment Opportunities seemingly limited to graduates or the Old Boy's Club No sincerity in working with employee bodies

    Advice to Management

Move your management focus away from the top 200 employees and towards the remaining 10,000 who keep the business afloat. Communicate your reward and benefit strategy. Have pay comparators that aren't completely made up, and stick to it.

    Pros

Steady Employment Good pension scheme Its the people that make it what it is Nice environment - under the right management, which changes regularly

    Cons

Salary is poor Salary is poor Salary is poor Employs non technical staff

    Advice to Management

Stop letting the technical people leave due to poor salary, if your going to employee people through an agency use it to your advantage and rid of them who don't cut the mustard, else you might as well employee everyone full time and save some money.

    Pros

Work life balance can be very good if you work in the right department and have good management. Lots of opportunities to change role but requires you to be proactive. Salary is market average or below but bonus can be very good for an IT company if financial targets are met. Colleagues are typically good calibre people.

    Cons

Management is inconsistent, often changing the organisation for the sake of it. Risk averse organisation unwilling to invest big. Very process heavy If you don't push, salary increases are often below inflation and can quickly fall well below the median.

    Advice to Management

Give changes a chance before reorganising. Remember staff are people not just resources. Engage people ahead of change not after the fact.

    Pros

Easy environment, reasonable benefits, reasonable salaries

    Cons

Forever reorganising, never a stable environment, too many people there for life and lacking commitment, too much focus on csr

    Advice to Management

Too many techie promoted managers, need to focus on creating leaders!

    Pros

Wide range of opportunities both within UK and globally. Great sense of corporate social responsibility in all aspects of the company.

    Cons

As with all large companies, it is sometimes difficult to navigate, and to get ownership at a business or capability level.

    Advice to Management

Fujitsu is still seen as a bit of dinosaur in the market yet has great people and great innovation which we need to promote - these are key differentiators in the market.

    Pros

Spot and leverage opportunities to make valuable contributions and you will be rewarded. There are many different paths that can be taken. Lots of variety.

    Cons

If you're not self-motivated, you won't get on. Whilst coaching is available you need to manage your own career and find sponsors.

    Advice to Management

Only make changes if there is a genuine probability of an adequate return on the investment. Spend time identifying the true cause of problems and address those. A reorganisation is rarely the solution.

    Pros

Could be a great company, unfortunately it isn't!

    Cons

Management are completely devoid of any professionalism or class whatsoever. Completely unscrupulous working practices. Totally untrustworthy company.

    Advice to Management

Retire and let some decent human beings take the company forward.
