    Pros

There are no pros do not recommended

    Cons

Management is not knowledgeable at all. Client Accounting Financial manager, or whatever has no manager skills, constantly taking classes on how to manage. This department is based on friends inside the department. Human Resources is also under skilled from top to bottom. This firm is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers with management degree's. Quit moving people into positions based on frienshouldn't No core values. Racism and harassment should not be allowed.

    Pros

Well established firm but poor management as of the combination.

    Cons

Poor salary, iron fisted management, low cost of living increase, poor replacement procedures; when support staff leaves, HR does NOT replace them. Exstrenuous work loads with low resources.

    Advice to Management

Hire sufficient staff to meet the demanding needs of upper management. The same resources are expected to simultaneously partake in excessive projects causing an unduly burden on an overall work product.

    Pros

Well established firm even though there have been changes. Has a great history and is now called Norton Rose Fulbright. Great in-house training to keep employees current with updates and new programs. I was impressed with the great organized fashion in which all employees were successfully served with vacation scheduling, benefits information, various opportunities to grow, and good supervisory leadership. No longer there but see that it is still a well-established firm.

    Cons

The changes have been significant and job security is somewhat diminished. There have been "several" retirement packages offered in past few years. Firm has been going through transition since merging with Norton Rose. No longer employed there so can't say more.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunity for staff to not only to express when there is a problem BUT ALSO to provide and work out a solution that is good for all involved.

  8. Decent enough firm, much bureaucracy

    Pros

I liked the people I worked with generally, it's a decent firm (this was pre-merger with Norton Rose so I can't speak to how it's been since then) and one-on-one folks were mostly decent.

    Cons

Due to the size of the firm, bureaucracy was stiff and unforgiving, not much way they'd work with anyone that needed a little 'give and take'.

    Pros

Work is invairably interesting; there is a lot of flexibility to move between groups; at the first year level, there is a great training program in place to both educate new attorneys and integrate them into the firm. Most importantly, the people are great to work with and, for the most part, have reasonable expectations.

    Cons

As is the case with many large firms, it can be difficult to get courtroom experience as a young attorney. In addition, there is some lack of transparency in terms of the requirements and process for advancement in the firm.

    Pros

I was only there for a short time but I was impressed by the good, smart, diligent people at all levels of the firm.

    Cons

Not a lot of foreseeable hiring.

    Pros

The people here are great. My bosses were very flexible. I was promoted multiple times while I was at FJ.

    Cons

There was very little negative for me while I was at FJ. The only thing that could have been negative was the salary was a little low.
