I have been working at Fusion Sign & Design full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The employees working in the manufacturing, design and print departments produce excellent work, even while meeting the harsh demands of incompetent sales people, including the owners.

    Cons

The owners, dave and lorn, are dishonest, lazy and simply do not care about their employees other than their sales staff. They are extremely unprofessional.

Extremely disorganized. No training in all departments. Too many mistakes made because of that.

Unfair practices. Employees, even experienced veterans, are paid the lowest legal wage and forced to work extreme deadlines while discouraging overtime. Promises are made of worker reviews, perks and fair wages but they are ultimately ignored.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your sales staff about the sign business so they can do their jobs right instead of passing the buck to the low-paid workers while you collect your commission checks. They must be held accountable for the numerous mistakes and wasted time and money from their stupidity instead of placing blame on others because there is no communication between customers, sales and shop.

The owners should treat their workers with respect and treat them like human beings. We have families and they pay us as little as legally possible. This company should be ashamed that many of it's non-sales staff are on welfare. It's like working at wal-mart.

"Teamwork" is stressed but never practiced as all the department managers and the entire sales staff will have no problem passing the blame on everybody else for the smallest mistake. No appreciation other than a boring company breakfast is given.

True appreciation are bonuses, affordable benefits, sick pay and regular reviews and pay raises instead of threats of being fired, insults and personal attacks. This is not a good company to work for and they are not deserving of the awards they've been given.

I worked at Fusion Sign & Design part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

If you need extra work here and there

    Cons

inconsistent work, awarded one week and the next not working. Extremely disorganized sometimes - this is only for the traffic department/living signs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If there was more reward for the hard work as a living sign other than being on the list to work for the following week.

I have been working at Fusion Sign & Design part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The location I did sign flipping for(The Wellington - only 4 times) had a good amount of cars driving by.
^ Which in turn allowed me to get an idea for what people respond to when driving by a sign flipper.

    Cons

    Did not receive any training.
Dishonest employer, I received a part-time gig, but haven't had a shift in over a month since.
Employers never show up and gave me any serious instructions on how to conduct sign-flipping in the best manner.
Employer calling me during my shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not hire somebody less than 24 hours after getting a referral for an future employee, do not overhire.

Not for an employee with a family that depends on them.
    Not very good raises
Late giving yearly reviews, makes it seem that It's not of importance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay people a fair wage and don't be cheap. Some employees do got families to support.

I have been working at Fusion Sign & Design

    Pros

Flexible schedule for students or persons trying to learn certain aspects of the signage industry
Entry level positions to work side by side with knowledgable staff
    Traveling options (multiple divisions)
    Hands on

    Cons

    Poor managment. No accountability,
    Dishonest to employees, clients, vendors
    Unreliable
    No training given to employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Emphasis on the employee rather than the profit in the owners pocket. Overworked and underpaid. Fusion needs to offer an incentive program to help the staff feel good about working there
