    Pros

Company is stable. Good amount of paid time off. Option available take every other Friday off.

    Cons

Company culture has changed from family-run to more corporate. Employee morale varies greatly.

    Pros

Pros are only for long term employees who are protected although they don't know much other that what they do- most have no or little education and just hide behind their desks in fear of getting fired

    Cons

None that I could see except the owners are very rich and have lots of money to put into the company and the company is profitable - hire real professional and let go of those who won't be able to take the company to the next level.

    Advice to Management

Look at your employees- most work out of fear to be fired- most have no education but think they can run the show. Invest in professionals and let go of the baggage.

  3. Fair Housing Nightmare. Corporate office is a mess.

    Pros

On-site property managers are great. The managers do not have any thing to do with the corporate office. My main complaint is the main office.

    Cons

Low pay. No appreciation for hard work and accomplishments. Plays favorites with residents as well as employees in corporate office. Non progressive style of leasing and management. No one communicates in the corporate office. Every month they would call asking who worked at the property. They had no idea who works there! When there was communication with the corporate office they were very rude and condescending. It was almost an attitude that they would exude as if they were better than the on-site staff. The way that this company runs is very different and non-progressive. Very stingy with pay and benefits.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate hardworking employees, accomplishments and reward for hard work. Fair Housing should be taken seriously.

    Pros

Great boss. Everyone is easy to work with. Mandatory company wide breaks. Jonah Goldrich comes to everyone's desk everyday and talks to you (you rarely see a partner in any other company).

    Cons

"If it ain't broke don't fix it." Very old fashioned style of business. They still have typewriters!

    Pros

I had a good training, good solid structure, clear instructions and policies, great compliance and accounting departments. I would recommend this company to a friend if they want to get into this industry and learn, also depends on a property that you work at.

    Cons

Pay below industry average, poor benefits. Some properties are understaffed. People work overtime without pay. I left because I was overworked and very tired.

    Advice to Management

Talk to the field employees, many of them sincerely want to help before leaving the company.

    Pros

If your recognized you can get a chance to move up to a Manager position fairly quickly in this company.

    Cons

It takes a person with initiative to work for this company, there are a lot of times you will need to make a decsion based on common sense. The Company isn't the best at informing you of what exactly you need to do and how to do it right.

    Advice to Management

Hire people on experiance in the field you are hiring for, Hiring people with opposite career background and skills for a position they no nothing about isn't such a good idea.
