Former Employee - Cross-Utilized Agent in Albany, GA

I worked at G2 Secure Staff full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company definitely drives on safety. Depending on the location and the size of the airport determines the different job tittles they offer. The airport I worked at was considered small, so the tittle I held was cross-utilized agent. This was basically both the Gate Agent and the Ramp Agent. The atmosphere is largely determined by the Station Manager and the group of Co-Workers you'll be working along the side of.

    Cons

Just like any gig, theres issues that may exist. They may only be station-oriented problems, problems pertaining to your station and only your station. If anything keep up a good work ethic and become one of the best at the job. It really helps in getting over the small difficulties of passenger related issues.

Former Employee - Cargo Agent/Baggage Handler in East Boston, MA

I worked at G2 Secure Staff full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Met a lot of different people, was in my element. Learned a lot about procedures/protocols.

    Cons

A lot of backstabbing from some of the staff. No pay raise after working 1 year in baggage service dept. after taking a PAY CUT from $12 an hour to $8 an hour. Plus NO FREE PARKING-having to pay for parking every 2 weeks is VERY EXPENSIVE in Boston, plus you have to take either a shuttle bus or walk over to the terminal just to make it on time. The company more or less gave me every incentive to quit!

I have been working at G2 Secure Staff part-time

    Pros

    - Lots of down time during the day, but when you work you do work hard
    - Set hours
    - Relatively easy to get off when you need it
    - Employees know what needs to get done and they do it without needing to be told

    Cons

    - Very early/late hours, but that's to be expected in the travel industry
    - Some unprofessional conduct, which could have been prevented by a more careful interview process

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To whoever is involved, please work harder to get us contracts. Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little. This branch is small, but we still need to have comfortable, sturdy, well-maintained wheelchairs. Invest a little into your own company before paying yourselves personally, and the results could be surprising.

Also, be more careful about who gets hired. We've had some real rotten eggs, and if it's obvious to me on first meeting that they wouldn't work out, it should be obvious to you in the interview.
