    Sales goals very un realistic

    Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee)

ProsThey have some very good engineers and very dedicated support staff

ConsManagement operates under a shoot first, ask questions later approach to sales reps. They insulate themselves in Omaha and are very out of touch with customers and field personnel.

A lot of finger pointing and CYA between departments

Advice to Senior ManagementGet out of the office and meet your sales reps and customers. Create a culture where individuals working in different functions understand and appreciate how each contributes to overall success of the company

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Burlington, MA

ProsSome very smart and dedicated engineers working on a complex software product using some of the latest technologies.

ConsScaling the software and environment is shaking out several bugs that can slow down new product development

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest a greater amount of time in shoring up the infrastructure to increase the stability for growth

This company would have been great, if they were a little more hands on with their employees.

    Project Coordinator (Former Employee)

ConsThe company did not offer me any training.

    Construction Scheduler / Planner

    Construction Planner/Scheduler (Former Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsGood local office and field teams. Predictable workload subject to the normal pace of construction/ engineering projects. Local management was good about being transparent and working with clients as a team rather than us vs them.

ConsFelt somewhat disconnected with the rest of the corporation. Regional office was left to operate pretty much autonomously which leaves you wondering what is around the corner. I left because longer term career prospects were limited based on overlap of talent in a small office. The people are great, but work can be predictable.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep working with sales teams to bring in more work.

    Having problems

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsInteresting clients with a variety of projects. Security projects run the gamut from retail stores to critical infrastructure. Fiber projects include inter-state networks.

ConsFractured management carryover from previous companies. This ship is going around in circles with upper management oblivious to the crew needs or client wants.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe crew needs to abandon ship faster than you're shoving them off the plank.

Liked the job but questioned some of the professionalism

    Software Engineer (Former Employee)
    Burlington, MA

    ProsInteresting project

    Pay was excellent

Management seemed pretty on top of things

ConsSome people are unprofessional to the extreme (e.g yelling, cursing, refusing to respond to emails/calls, making snarky comments on conference calls, hanging up on you, etc). These people are frequent enough to make this a common experience. I think a good HR review/training would help.

Project Managers are very immature in performing their jobs. They don't seem to be knowledgeable about basic project management approaches and tasks. They are not on top of the projects. For example, they don't even insist on a standard SDLC which causes problems and senseless rework/confusion . . . at least on my project.

Noticed that they do not involve all employees critical to a project in meetings and esp planning meetings. For example, their tech writers. It just causes issues.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork with HR to provide individual personal business commitments on soft skills for all your employees.
