    Pros

Generally interesting work and mostly good people to work with. Work environment is good. If you work for the right supervisor, your work will be appreciated and responsibility increased.

    Cons

No security - when a project if finished or business slows at all, people are gone. Little communication from management.

I worked at GCG full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting industry. Educated colleagues. Stable industry-growth.

    Cons

No integrity, no training, inexperienced management, severe ego issues in managers, no consistency, no policies, no teamwork, no trust... Accidental success - success is not shared throughout the organization; it's all about the folks on top. No culture of caring, learning, doing right, giving back. Fear-based management style. Insecurity is rampant. Highly dysfunctional.

I have been working at GCG full-time

    Pros

Some of the employees were helpful. Not really much to say. They provided a fruit snack on Wednesdays and the window view was nice.

    Cons

Training was terrible. Asking questions will raise a red flag and black list you. I was told to approach claims in many different ways through initial supervisor training and shadowing, only to be told by upper level of all my mistakes. Upper level training will also tell you to address claims a certain way only to contradict themselves when you process claims the way they told you to. Supervisors are not involved and treat you like cattle; they appeared to blame temps for there own inadequacies. Everyone there appeared to understand the politics of Supervisors' egos and kept there mouths shut in order to not bring any suspicions onto themselves from Supervisors. Oh and it seems like most of the people there are temps.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of Supervisors involved with large claims. They are inadequate when it comes to implementing new policies, communicating strategic goals, and running claims program. Supervisors spent little effort towards improving work procedures and more time complaining and gossiping about temps. They know they are untouchable because they get rid of anyone who would every consider complaining. EGO, EGO, EGO; unnecessary and hurts company performance. This is why my department was so behind.
