Pros
Global, customer-focused and well-managed. Opportunity for career advancement is high for motivated employees with ability to live internationally.
Cons
Heavy emphasis and use of powerpoint
Advice to Senior Management
Spend more money on marketing our business and building our brand
Pros
Benefit package was excellent, especially health insurance. But I believe the health insurance has since been downgraded.
Cons
Very low pay, limited advancement opportunities, a lot of dissatisfied co-workers. Not a friendly environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay your employees better with more respect.
Pros
-benefits package.
-compensation
- vacation time
Making sure you could take care of your family.
Cons
Didn't curtail office BS.
Also didn't appreciate the sellers
Management over front line managers were not in touch with reality.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire a manager that can inspire people t be great not just force feed motivation
Pros
Nice Challenge and Excellent benefits
Cons
Bureaucracy sometimes got in the way of progress
Pros
Good benefits, good time off, good work-life balance.
Cons
Terrible management, all snobish and in a world of their own. Everything takes a long time to get done. Too much red tape, too little autonomy, too much politics. Hard to feel appreciated, no meritocracy.
Advice to Senior Management
Be lean and ready to act. Meetings about meetings about meetings are very counter productive. Think about results rather than saving face. Stop passing the buck, take ownership and responsibility for your actions.
Pros
Decent pay which is usually competitive with the market
Cons
The worst work/life balance you are likely to encounter; the amount of overtime work required is unreasonable and Finance positions in particular are structured to stretch employees to an unfair extent. Finance often does not play a sufficent "business partner" role and is more administrative in nature rather than strategic. Decisions are governed primarily by politics and fear and employee morale is uniformly bad due to resentment felt by the inhumane conditions; employees at SPB level especially are simply expected to sacrifice personal time to an infinite extent, even on weekends. This company is like a corporate human rights violation.
Advice to Senior Management
Employees are human beings and even valuable assets.
Pros
Ge Capital was a great place to work for the people, jobs, and environment was great to work in for me.
Cons
The hours were not the best, as there was a minimum of 40 hours per week, but it was ok.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing everything how you are doing it currently. The business model is great and will continue to do great things.
Pros
Nice campus, smart people, challenging work sometimes.
Cons
The leadership in CT does not see a difference between us and any of their outsourced talent. They tend to think of us as hired guns and simple labor, not seasoned capable pros. The healthcare is the worst in the area.
Advice to Senior Management
Train up the VPs and CIOs about how to treat employees. Crotonville did not work for many of them. Learn the MidWwst nice tradition. We find your East Coast attitude arrogant.
Pros
Gobal brand
work life balance
good working hours
monthly staff engagement activities
Cons
Not much growth opportunity
not competitive compensation package
Advice to Senior Management
improve growth opportunity inside company
Pros
Large company with many learning opportunities. Clean offices and work spaces. Very established and secure place to work. Because of this there are no suprises on a day to day basis.
Cons
Extremely structured. You are a number, not a person. New ideas are not welcome; you do your job and you go home.
