Co-workers are very friendly and willing to help. Good work and personal balance. Good managers.
Cons
Because GE is so large, it gets very confusing to find the right information
Pros
Benefit package was excellent, especially health insurance. But I believe the health insurance has since been downgraded.

Very low pay, limited advancement opportunities, a lot of dissatisfied co-workers. Not a friendly environment.

Management over front line managers were not in touch with reality.

Pros
Nice people, great environment, and great benefits package. They have an instant messaging program that is nice to talk with other employees.

Sometimes a challenge to stay interested while working. Pushes healthy living too much. Promotion opportunities are few and far between and usually based on favoritism.
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more feedback to your team on their performance.
Pros
good compensation, smart people. There aren't many unnecessary fire drills.

Kettering is terrible. The site is even worse. Tenured employees believe there is little else to learn outside of GE.
Advice to Senior Management
Its time to cut off the bottom 10%.
Pros
flexible and great colleagues with worklife balance in place.
Cons
at times poor communication and transparency
Pros
Good pay. Easy work but can be repetitive at times. . This position does not require previous experience. No sales required

No real opportunity to grow (unless you suck up to management)
Advice to Senior Management
Hired based on experience and or education
Pros
Good health benefits
Consistent measuring devices for reviews

Incompetent Management
Disrespectful Supervisors
Managers will 'target' people they don't like and set out to get them fired
Ongoing training non existent
If you are a minority, you can break rules & not loose bonuses, but if you are white, the requirements are much higher.
Advice to Senior Management
Require supervisors to get on phones for one week every six months and do the job as we are required.
