    I worked at GEO Care full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Vacation and PTO is pretty good. Insurance was okay. Hours okay.

    Cons

    Pay is on the low side. Management is horrible...bullying, talking down to staff even in front of others, treating staff with disrespect, biased decisions in choosing current staff members for new open positions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Quit worrying so much about your Christmas bonuses. Treat your people fairly with respect and dignity at all times!

    Pros

    being able to pay my bills.

    Cons

    Administration of a treatment center that don't care about the people who work there nor the people who live there, but only about how they are going to get their enormous Christmas bonuses.
    Incredible disorganization, with management who love to exert their power over others, rather then support their staff in order to have a safe and effective environment. This is made worse by the fact that there are too many people on power trips and not enough people to do the actual work!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your staff - all of them .... they know a lot more than you think they do.
    Treat your staff with some respect. It would be nice to get a raise more than once every 5 years --
    we work very hard to try to make the center run well, despite the poor guidance we have.
