Pros

It's an Australian Global company, so the opportunities for overseas work are great! If you happen to have the right manager or mentor, there are real opportunities for growth as well. If you are an engineer in Australia, it's probably a great place to work; however other professionals may feel 'undervalued'.

Cons

'Old school' engineering culture - even though they provide all sorts of services now, they are pretty much still a male dominated engineering firm. Not a very 'cool' company, really kind of stuck in the 70's but rebranded for this century. There's no 'MBA culture' so the company is run by engineers who 'have a go' at management...

Advice to Senior Management

Have a good look at the culture you are encouraging! Hire some kick-ass consultants and work on a major change program if you want to attract the next generation of professionals to your company!
