I worked at GN Media full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The organisation is one of the larges media and publishing houses in the UAE. If you can put up with a toxic, politically charged environment then you can easily find your feet and seek opportunities across the company.

    Cons

Politics. Politics and more Politics! Severe epidemic of groupism and favoritism. Lack of clear direction and support. Managers are self styled policemen with inflated egos and false pride. No clear direction and support from higher management.

    Advice to Management

Have a proper system in place to make people accountable for their actions. And the whole work culture needs a complete overhaul and self styled mavericks have to be kept in place.

Management also cannot do much on this area with limited technical hands, may be they can think over to keep the people according to the knowledge and experience.

    Pros

I believe there are pros and cons to any company . From a technology perspective the infrastructure is really, really rich, and that allows you to get something out the door quicker than you’d be able to at another company, and you also just have tons of experts in a lot of different areas at Media."

    Cons

You have to pay for the home rent , odd hours work, and the flat management structure has some big pluses and minuses. When you have such a flat management structure, that means when you join, you have a lot more leadership, a lot more influence than you'd have in an equivalent role at a different company. "

    Advice to Management

for Good Understanding of business set Common Goal for employee.
