    Pros

Energetic vide, very good Benefits & Pay. Good people with well made and progressive product line. Strong and beloved worldwide brand.

    Cons

Not the best communications from HQ to reps in the field. EU marketing does not always translate well to the US market place.

    Pros

You get to work with a variety of clients from different industries. A fast-paced environment where an ambitious, self-motivated individual can excel.

    Cons

Management tends to cut back staffing as soon sales slow down. Upper management team in Denmark is not always in-touch with work-style and attitudes of US workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wish they gave the US workers the same benefits, vacation time as all of the Danish employees at headquarters. Danish workers get 6 weeks of vacation and US workers 2 weeks.

    Review from 10 year veteran....

I worked at GN Netcom full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

GREAT people, solid product, heck of a lot of fun to be the 'challenger' in the industry playing against the big, marketet dominator. .... Did I mention the great people...? And since 2008, the company has significantly improved their internal business processes & quality of people (in both staff & executive leadership level).

    Cons

A little too much PR speak for my taste. Company is globally HQ'd out of Denmark where GN Netcom is equivalent to a Fortune100 company....and that makes the Danes a bit "headstrong" in their ways - they are 'always right'...even when they are dead wrong. A lot of their internal business processes are "challenging" (ie you want to tear your hair out sometimes), but a lot of the "silliness" processes have been killed off over the last few years by current executive management. However in their B2B division, marketing remains a key challenge area that is improving....but has a LOOOONG way to go. If you are a sales person, be prepared that you will be investing in a lot of activities that you think should be executed by a marketing team in your role if you ever want to hit your sales quota. But this gives you a lot of great experience & skills that you would not have developed else where, so it's a trade-off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is nothing wrong with speaking plainly & ditching the PR speak. Keep it real & keep it honest. Leave the "plastic talk" to your competition. That noted, done a h*** of a job over the last few years to improve your business operations. Kudos!

    Pros

A large technology company, where one could learn about trying to be innovative at a large company. Headquarters is in Copenhagen and it is awesome to work and live in this city, it is also amusing and pleasant to work with Danish people, if you don't mind the Scandinavian meeting work culture - every decision has to be taken only after everybody's voice is heard. You can basically spend whole days in meetings. Still, being in a company which has part of its PDP in-house, you need to deal with people from different backgrounds, so a lot of the decisions are to be taken in a group.

    Cons

Working at a large technology company can also have its drawbacks - if you want to work there, better work in its B2B division, producing professional solutions and being a part of the Unified Communications trend. This division is pretty successful, basically the driver and the money-making division of the company. Otherwise, the Mobile division - consumer headsets, Music, Sports and Car Speakerphones categories - is not a 1st on the market and is not extremely innovative, rather a follower of competitors. Not a lot of designer and engineer creativity is let into the products, the PDP is pretty management-driven.

I worked at GN Netcom as a contractor

    Pros

A very informal and friendly organization. Products are interesting and innovative. Good work-life balance and possibility to work from home.

    Cons

It is all about the people! On some positions, they simply got the wrong person with little to no social competence. The organization is very slow moving and it takes long time for decisions to be made. HR is not used in an efficient way.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It seems like new strategies are made up every now and then, but then never really implemented.
